beat Beat Beat!

I'm beat.. so so beat!!!

brought my granny-in-law, mum & Josh for lunch. It was steaming hot but my GIL suggested bedok food centre for some supposedly superb local yummies as opposed to the usual restaurant thingy we do. Being the pig that I am, I agreed and man, even though my tummy is satisfied, it goes down as one of the least glam moments in my life.

Picture this - cha kway teow in 1 hand, fried carrot cake in another, drenched in perspiration with those gigantic fans blowing & plastering all my hair unto my face. Plus I had to settle Josh's lunch, serve my GIL & mum their food & drinks first.

By the time I sat down, I lost all my appetite and ate like 2 bites from each dish. ( and got chided by my mum for wasting food)

Still, it was satisfying and heartwarming to see how much joy Josh brings the 2 seniors. Even tho the setting was just a humble ( and hot hot hot) hawker centre and we only went to NTUC for grocery shopping after. They had alot of fun and I realised that it's not always abt fancy places when it comes to the older generation, but abt where they're most comfortable with and the company of loved ones.

Oh before i forget, to the Nutritionist (to-be) reading this : this was my lunch menu -
Char kway teow + fried carrot cake + chendol + sugar cane drink

ha ha ha h aha ha ha , I'm heading straight to fatdom !!
