HEY GUYS

Nov 09, 2008 22:00

I'm so sorry that the community had to get so backlogged like this. Yeah, I know, you don't want to hear excuses, you just want your claims approved and completed claims documented, ok ok ok, I'm sorry!!!

But okay, here's the deal. Communication between the mods at 1sentence has been really bad, because we just NEVER talk to each other, and so we hardly ( Read more... )

Talk about yourself, why would you like the job, how responsible you think you'll be, etc: I would like to be a mod because I love this comm and don't want to see it go by the side some other comms have. I think I would be a very responsible mod because I understand what its like to have someone not do something you need them to do. I'm also pretty good at code and a friendly yet strict person.

I forgot to ask, what positions would you like to be a mod for?

I'm sorry I didn't responded! I'm fine with being a asst. claims mod!

I think your email bounced back, did you mistype it? There's some info I need to send you. I assigned you to Completed Claims because Claiming mods already got filled. Is that okay? You don't have to be a mod if you absolutely hate doing completed claims though.

I'd like to keep being the tags mod, thanks. I didn't speak up about the claims list backlog because I...haven't really been paying attention that, I guess. Sorry. D:

Ok, I'll take it off. It was my fault anyway, I didn't do my job, and I should have resigned a lot sooner so somebody could have had my position. Whatever, too late now :(

Free time available each week: Ohhh it depends; I'll be really busy in the three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I'll always have at the very least 5 hours a week or so free. I expect to have much more free time after Christmas (h-hahaha this job market)
Talk about yourself, why would you like the job, how responsible you think you'll be, etc: Well, back in July or so I kept stalking the comm and noticing all the things that needed to be done and I wanted to volunteer to do it right then and there, actually.

- Question! I made two claims back in late July/Early August. I know people have just been going a head and posting their claims in the meantime, but I have not. Would I still get the requisite amount of time to complete my claims when they are confirmed?? One is finished and just needs to be edited; the second is mostly complete, but I set it aside seeing as it didn't look like it would be confirmed anytime soon.

Just go ahead and post it if it's completed. It'll save us the trouble of putting the claim on the list and then taking it off again.

And are you talking about the purging (if we do it?) Because if we're purging, we'll have a post where you can ask for an extension. And as the community is now (w/o purging) we don't have a time limit for you to complete your claims. So it's all good.

///Also this was my fault, I forgot to ask which Mod positions you wanted to apply for?

Claiming list would be ideal. But completed claims would be fine, as well!

Free time available each week: It varies depending on what I've got going on IRL, but I should have around 10 hours a week at the very least.
Talk about yourself, why would you like the job, how responsible you think you'll be, etc Well, I'm good at organizational stuff and I'd like to help out. This is a neat comm, and I'd hate to see it go under due to being short-staffed. I think I'll be very responsible because I know how much it sucks to have someone flake out on you.

Free time available each week: I get on almost every single day.
Talk about yourself, why would you like the job, how responsible you think you'll be, etc: I'm a mod/admin for at least four other comms, two of which are fairly active, one of which is a writing challenge comm, and one which is a gift-exchange comm that I'm heading. I really would like the job because I really hate seeing this comm fall into disrepair (if that makes sense XD;) and I really would love to help out in any way I can.

I forgot to add that I'm pretty much on top of things with the comms I head, whether it's memories, tagging, etc. and I'm also pretty organized, so things don't get forgotten about ^^
