Funny, we had the same conversation in the morning in our shuttle. I have a colleague from Germany who was wondering why they don't put up road blocks or cordon off the area so that the traffic is not affected. Of course the reply he got from me was: you are expecting logistics in a country which has no losgitics or infrastructure.
And people on CMH road are scared of change. The suburb is turning into a commercial area and people are losing land (shops and houses) because of the metro rail.

yesterday i was traveling by auto and that guy was also cribbing about hte nano

was just thinking then (didn't tell the driver) as to what if the nanos were to be made public transpo vehicles? in place of autos? cleaner and safer and not too much more expensive..

Not without government regulation, the only thing which ended the era of tongas in Bangalore was government regulation.
