The Nano
On the day that the Nano released I spent around 3 hours driving across Bangalore in a car.
Driving in Bangalore on a bike at least is somewhat tolerable but driving in a car is just pure torture!
But anyway, what I was thinking was that once that Nano is released and every Tom, Dick and Harry has one the city is just going to come to a complete halt!
All Ratan Tata's best efforts and intentions will get throttled by the imcompetent governments that we have that can't keep up with the good work that the private sector is doing. But yet instead of putting pressure on our government to improve all this, our people are more interested in burning Steve Bucknor's effigies and nominating Vajpayee for Bharat Ratnas.
Last time when I spent a while in Thailand and returned I was really pissed off about how bad our infrastructure is. I have the same feeling again after coming from the US.
On top of everything, when it's so obvious that we need a Metro Rail because the traffic situation is so insane, there are still some fools near my house who are protesting against the Metro. If ever anyone tries to improve something there has to be some idiot trying to block it and drag everyone else down.
