Hello! (^o^)/
I am two weeks late as usual because I am a terrible procrastinator and reliving the concert in my head is making me cry tears of joy, but. You don’t want to hear more of that.
A few things I need to explain:
- As this particular concert will be on DVD, I cannot assure you that everything in here will appear on the said DVD. I also cannot assure you that it will be accurate, as I have a blur of a memory.
- This is a very detailed report. I mean, I will include EVERYTHING that I remember, from the position of the members on-stage to the choreography. And it’s a warning of how long this is. XD
- I am not perfectly well-versed with Japanese as much as I wish I was, and I don’t claim I understood everything. So if I mistranslated anything, I apologize beforehand.
- I hope this will be fun for you as much as it is for me! There will be a separate section for fanservice in case you want to skip it, or read it first. :)
Arriving at the venue
We got there at around 16:30. Since the Jticket International booth would open an hour later, we still had an hour to kill. So I lined up for the album booth first, and got my LE version B and my wish star!
It started to rain so hard by then, so it became so cold (5-8°C / 41-46°F) that I wrote my wish in a hurry (I still apologize to
clipsie for screwing it up) and missed a few words, as I realized half an hour later. orz
(I wished for a Tiga-style flying kiss from Nagano, after mentioning that I liked his cheekbones. ^o^)
Btw, the wishes area was just right beside the album booth, and the fans would hang the stars on the hooks in the tent. We had to put seals behind the part where we wrote our messages too, since we provided them details like our addresses, emails and phone numbers.
I headed to the goods booth next, which consisted of staff as efficient as I last remembered they would be. I finished buying all the goods and omiyage in less than fifteen minutes (!), I think, so we ended up waiting for thirty more minutes for the Jticket booth to open up. Nagano’s new book 「美味博愛」(Bimi Haku Ai, I think) was sold there. :D Also, they ran out of Inocchi uchiwas and it still frustrates me until now. :(
By then, the fans from the 14:00 show started coming out, and with the strong rain it got a bit harder to find a place where we could wait. We gave up waiting by 17:10 and went straight to the booth, but the staff kept insisting it wouldn’t be open until 17:30. About five minutes more and they finally let us approach the booth. One staff member checked our names off a list and asked us to line up and wait some more.
Soon after, the line started to move, and one-by-one they checked our passports and confirmation page print-out and then directed us to the security check before going in.
Just before the concert
Inside, at the lobby, there was a huge sign of OMG with the Pantheon-ish background. I didn’t get a chance to take a hard look at it because they required people to line up to take photos. But I read a few parts and it seemed like a schedule or list of their regular shows. It was also where they handed out flyers for Okada's Toshokan Sensou.
We proceeded to our seats later on. The section that Jticket gave to us international fans was at D2, arena. It’s located near the stage at the back, left side.
(I apologize for the blurriness of the first photo. ^^;;)
There were a fair number of international fans with us (from Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, HK), and it was fun talking to them for a bit!
Concert proper
The concert started about three minutes past 18:30. Lights went out and omg! started playing. The guys hadn’t appeared yet; it was a suspense kind of thing before the concert itself.
fAKE was next, as the Pantheon-ish background began to part in the middle, revealing V6 sitting on and standing in various positions near the huge “V6” lighted sign. Their costumes were the white jacket and pants with little mirrors on them, and the shoes were color-coded! (One of my favorite things in the world. ♥)
By the second verse, V6 did fAKE’s choreography without chairs, and if my memory serves me right, there was a bit of change in directions too - like what used to be left was done on the right, etc. - so it had quite a nice effect. *^* Soon after, they moved towards the front, using elevated platforms as they danced. They also sang the entire song, which always pleases me. The are-they-singing-live-or-not fans will also be pleased: everyone was definitely singing live, and it doesn’t matter if they’re using autotune or not. Always live.
FLASH BACK used a lot of flashing lights. To me, it sounded like fAKE but with a more RnB/dance element to it. For some reason, I focused more on the singing rather than the dancing, sorry T^T and on this song, Inocchi and Ken captured my attention the most. Inocchi’s parts were so good. The singing never disappoints, so better look out for this one. ^o^
During Hands UP! OK?, the guys proceeded to walking up to the stands at the second floor, with Inocchi, Okada, Nagano going up to our side first and Go, Ken and Sakamoto on the other side. Streamers were blasted out, but those weren’t the one with the messages on them.
Next were Darling and 本気がいっぱい (Honki ga Ippai), and the thing I remember the most was Nagano almost slipping as he went down the stairs. He actually paused for a while when he realized what just happened, and it was the cutest thing ever. *A* There was also a little GoKen moment; I think they were talking amongst themselves as they walked through the stage at the back before climbing up the stairs again. And Go held a girl’s hand up in the stands, and she was the only one. So lucky!
They continued walking through the runways as バリバリBUDDY! started, on opposite sides this time. They quickly reached the center stage shortly before the bridge part, so they could dance. The center stage rotated, btw, so it was a pretty awesome scene to witness. By the end of the song, Nagano and Inocchi were stuck in their final poses for some reason and didn’t move for quite some time. I don’t what exactly happened, maybe just classic NagaIno. XD
Greetings/MC
They talked about BariBari for a while, like how intense the choreography really was and how it could make you sweat a lot and even make you thinner. :P Inocchi asked if we danced with them, and said thank you for doing such. He then said “You guys are awesome” in that comical, approving tone of his. :3
They headed to the main stage, and that’s when Inocchi asked Sakamoto if he could still do it. Or go on. Sakamoto answered “Totally,” quickly following it up with “Do you want us do to it over?” Fans teased him and Inocchi laughed, saying there was no need to. Inocchi said the MC might become troublesome if they did. XD
Tonisen left the stage to change, so it was Kamisen’s turn. They thanked us for coming despite the weather, but when Ken asked us if we got wet, he suggested there’s a towel which they were selling (I swear, he and Inocchi are the marketers for V6 goods).
Ken motivated the crowd, making the right stands cheer first. He wasn’t satisfied with the first cheer, so he made them do it again. Then he proceeded with the left. The left stands exceeded his expectations that he called them “kids who are great at first try” or something like that. XD He called us, arena at the back, next, then the arena at the front. Then he went “Front, back, front, front, back,” basically messing with us. XD
Afterwards, Okada suggested everyone should cheer this time, so Ken actually said, “ALLで!” as in saying “all” in English. When nobody reacted and there was silence, we all laughed, and he apologized for using English. He repeated the command, saying “全員で!” (Zenin de!), and everyone responded accordingly. In the end though, he said “全員で~” dragging every word as if he’s having a tantrum. We didn’t quite know how to respond to it except laugh.
Good timing for Tonisen to come back, as Inocchi immediately asked what the purpose of that last command was. XD Ken reasoned he wanted us to respond in a “spoiled” manner. Ken then called Inocchi “pink niisan”, pointed at Sakamoto and called him “pink ojisan”, then at Nagano, “pink obasan”. XD Nagano replied with “Thank you very much!” and pretty much called himself an old lady. XD ♥
Kamisen went to change afterwards. Inocchi asked who had bought the album. Then he asked who hadn’t. Nagano quickly answered with “Thank you very much!” when some fans raised their hands. XD Inocchi said, “It’s okay! It’s totally fine! The fact that you came here is already enough!” but added later on, “Please, buy it!” XD The next part consisted of Inocchi making people who hadn’t bought the album regret that they didn’t (HAHA), saying that if they decided to buy it later on, they might go, “I want to hear it at the next concert!” And then they wouldn’t as it was too late, and they’d regret it. XD
Inocchi also made us cheer like Ken did: the stands first, then the arena. Then he went, “Just the men!” and I could actually hear some shouting out as hard as they could. XD He wasn’t satisfied with it though, so he made them cheer again. Then he asked the staff to cheer as loud as they could, and they did! He said that even the staff wouldn’t lose to cheering. Finally, he said, “Everyone, let’s have fun!” before announcing that it was being filmed for the DVD, just like that. XD
After Greetings/MC
They sang 大人Guyz, with Kamisen appearing at the upper stage (and the lights on Tonisen, who were on the lower stage, turned off). There were screens raised behind Kamisen for the graphics, which were lots of colorful clothes, of course. For the second verse, they headed to the center stage again, each (except for Okada) bringing their own shopping cart. They rode it one-by-one - moment of enlightenment for me, as I thought it would be Okada putting them inside each cart XD - and Okada pushed them around. The stage also rotated as he did this, I believe.
At one point, the carts stopped moving, and because Nagano was the one in front, he wondered aloud if something was wrong. Okada just laughed in his trademark embarrassed way. ♥ During the last chorus, all of them ran by the aisle, passing by our side. Nagano threw a signed ball at our section, but it was way at the back.
They stayed at the stage located at the back, and 愛をこめて (Ai wo Komete) started playing. In a very stupid attempt, I actually tried to catch the attention of the guys at our side: Inocchi, Nagano and Ken but I knew it was futile, as they were focused on the choreography. (Yes, there was choreography for this song.) Let me tell you now: The choreography consisted basically of just hand movements during chorus. I also took note of the harmonizing parts.
First verse: Sakamoto - melody; Inocchi - harmony
First pre-chorus: Inocchi - melody; Sakamoto - harmony
Last line of first chorus: Nagano - melody; Sakamoto - harmony
After this part they walked back to the center stage.
Second verse: Go - melody; Inocchi - harmony
Second pre-chorus: Nagano - melody; Sakamoto - harmony
Last line of second chorus: Go - melody; Sakamoto - harmony
Last chorus: Ken - melody; Sakamoto - harmony / Sakamoto - melody; Inocchi - harmony
Basically SakaIno were switching parts for harmony and melody, but for a fan like me it’s really nice to know bits like this. :)
親愛なる君へ (Shin’ai Naru Kimi e) was next. There was also choreography for this song, and the center stage was raised a few times. Inocchi’s lines at the end were specifically, “No need to reply to this letter / I’m sorry for such a late goodbye / And no need to remember me forever…”
As the song ended, the guys exited the stage for the meantime, and the VTR reveals a “letter” read by the guys. The order was: Okada, Inocchi, Nagano, Sakamoto, Go and then Ken. I wasn’t able to catch every line of the letter, but the gist of it was like the song itself. “Sorry I wasn’t able to meet you last time,” “Thank you for spending your time today with me,” “I will never forget this day,” things like that. It was actually quite sweet. T^T
Sexy.Honey.Bunny! started to play afterwards, everyone went wild for a while, and the guys had changed their costume to the one worn in Music Lovers during the Supernova performance. They performed this one at the front stage, and once again the screens behind were raised (I think these were used for Shin’ai too) for the graphics of lips and of silhouettes of people dancing. There were also changes in the choreography, like the head movement during the last part of the song. The directions of the head bopping were different for some of the members, and it had a nice effect.
BING♂ time! Since I spent hundreds of times trying to figure out who sang which part, this performance enlightened me a bit. (Sorry, bear with me on this one. ;A;)
First verse: Ken (surprisingly!), then Ken again, only higher. XD
It was Sakamoto right before the chorus.
Second verse: Sakamoto, then Nagano. The lower register was also Nagano.
Okada sang the one before the second chorus.
Btw, Sakamoto said 「シルエット」and「ヘヴイー」in the most ridiculous manner, exaggerating it more (if it was possible). NGL I almost laughed my head off. I also noticed during this performance that, in his very Go-like way, he sang along to parts that didn’t belong to him. And I’ve always found that cute. ^3^
As for the “BING! BING! BING!” part, a vintage microphone descended from above. The guys went dancing around it before it was their turn to say “go” or whatever. What the guys said were as follows:
Okada: A very emphasized “GO!” (He really said /gō/.)
Ken: 「GOです!」(”GO desu!”) in that very cute voice of his.
Go: 「オレがごうですぅ!」(”Ore ga Go desu!”) IN THE CUTEST WAY POSSIBLE. I CANNOT.
Inocchi: “BINGGGGG” and then he acted as if he made a mistake. He was also using a cute voice asfjksdhf guys why are you like that T^T
Nagano: 「彼がごうですぅ!」(”Kare ga Go desu!”) and then he pointed at Go. XD
If you also didn’t know, Inocchi did the “BING! BING! BING!” parts for Okada, Ken and Go, but for Inocchi and Nagano it was Okada who did it. Sakamoto was also using his trademark “ghost voice” during the bridge part. Mmmhmm. And everyone died because of Go’s 「そんで揉んで…」(”sonde monde…”). And if I’m not mistaken, they danced with hats and chairs on this song as well? Masa was facing us so probably that’s the reason why I blanked out entirely on this part. :|
They chose the BINGO-san in the last part of the song, and they chose it by roulette (remember READY? con?). There were three panels. The first one would show whether it’d be from the stands or the arena, the second panel would show the block, and the third one would show the seat number. The roulette would stop as soon as the song ended.
The BINGO-san was from the lower stands on the right, first seat from the last block. She was holding an Inocchi uchiwa. When Sakamoto called on her, she really just stood there, staring back. She was so dazed, poor girl. And of course, Sakamoto messed up his lines when he first called her, so he just went, “For the DVD (recording), can I say it again?” with that embarrassed smile of his. Ugh. ♥ I think Inocchi commented that he messed up in the most important part again. XD He was about to say, “YOU, come over here!” when he messed up.
When the girl didn’t react,
Sakamoto: 「おめでとうございます!」(”Omedetou gozaimasu!”)
Girl: 「…」
Sakamoto: 「BINGOです」And we laughed, because I think he was trying to convince her that it’s a good thing. XD
A staff member fetched the girl, as they proceeded to performing D.I.S.. Nagano stopped by our side to dance, before the infamous pairing dance he did with Ken. InoGo did a weird chicken dance (as shown on ZIP), NagaKen did a mating ritual dance of sorts (you know, walking around in circles facing each other?), and SakaOka just had their backs on each other, bopping their heads (dance) to the music. (See what I did there? No? Okay.)
I wrote in my notes the day after that Inocchi and Ken also happened to pass by our side, which I totally don’t remember now, but it might’ve been Ken who passed by. And if Inocchi did as well, I think this was the time he did fanservice at our side, such as pointing at the girl who held an 井 uchiwa behind me. Lucky!
They called the BINGO-san again by the end of the song, although it didn’t end yet, and made her sit in a chair on the runway at the right of the center stage. Sakamoto asked for her name, as well as whose fan she was. She of course said Inocchi. And the fans immediately went, “Wooooo~” XD
“Please watch us perform this next song,” Sakamoto said, and Supernova began to play. They went on with the performance facing us first, and then they did the dance for the second half of the song facing her! *o* The choreography was exactly what the PV performance showed us, except the choreo for the second chorus and the last one got switched. It was just as, you know, unf-inducing as you’d imagine it would be.
Go then approached her slowly as they sang “gotta gotta havin’ a good time”. Everyone screamed, of course, and by the time he reached her, he took her by the hand and guided her to the center stage. The guys let her sit in the middle of the stage, and Inocchi stepped behind her and he patted her head with both hands, lips pressed together, smiling, before they descended for their private time. The other five, meanwhile, danced to the last chorus of the song.
When the stage was raised again, it was revealed that Inocchi carried her like a princess! The shy look on his face (generally during this entire bit) is seriously one of the cutest moments I’ve seen from Inocchi. *3*
The guys were quick to ask her, “Are you nervous?” as she barely moved. Inocchi asked, “What’s your name again?” After she answered, Inocchi then went, “Such a nice name!” (I am not entirely sure if I can reveal her name, but I guess I can if they will, on the DVD I mean. Until then, I cannot, but once I mention an important tidbit later you probably can guess her name from there. XD)
So they asked her how old she was, and she began with さんちゅうー (sanchuu-, which means third year of middle school) which sounds A LOT like さんじゅうー (sanjuu-, meaning thirty), and they were like, “OMG NO WAI”. Not gonna lie I thought she said the latter too. XD But yes, she is in her third year of middle school, which makes her 14 years old.
Inocchi told us about their private time earlier when he asked her if it was okay to carry her. He imitated how she answered, which was basically nodding erratically as she couldn’t say “yes” properly. So cute!
Apparently, this was the first time BINGO-san came to a V6 concert ever, and her mom accompanied her. She became a fan (of Inocchi) upon watching them on FNS Kayousai back in 2011. Everyone went “Wooooo~” again and he became shy again and it’s during times like this that I cannot help but love the V6 fandom. ♥
Inocchi somehow felt awkward about the fact that it was because of his “sexy” performance. HIS SHY FACE. He then shouted, “Arrest me!” with his wrists stuck together as if in cuffs. Oh Inocchi. He thanked her, soon learning that she found him cool in the performance for Sexy.Honey.Bunny!. Then everybody teased him again. XD
Confession time! The teasing didn’t stop just yet (the fans were enjoying this too much), and then Nagano mentioned that it’s a 22-year difference. Again, he got EVEN MORE embarrassed at the realization. (He probably didn’t realize that the age gap was that huge? I cannot, seriously.) She didn’t speak soon enough though, so Hiroshi went, “Go ahead~” in that sweet voice of his. T^T
“Can I be your fan from now on?” is the loose translation of what she said. Then more teasing. Inocchi was getting even shyer (if it was possible), so cute. We waited for his response, but he was taking too long. Oh gosh, even the fans were going, “TOO LONG!” XD Inocchi replied with a manly “Of course!” *A* And I’m pretty sure he made a pun of her name, going “You’re my blue sky after all.” Ugh, why is he like that. ;A;
Nagano then asked, “How was it?” She simply answered, “Very cool.” Inocchi then escorted her down, after which they headed back to the front stage as it was MC time!
Main MC + VTR
They guys continued with the BINGO-san talk, as they talked about the girl before more. Go admitted that because she was young, he felt a little bad (probably in a 20-year-difference kind of way) when he was approaching her during Supernova. He was like, “I didn’t really want to, you know!” XD
Then there was a recap of all the BINGO-san’s that they’d had, from how many per member to recalling Sakamoto’s fanboy whom they all shipped with him (heehee). Apparently, at that point Ken had only had one BINGO-san, and Inocchi went, “Ken was only once?” as if he couldn’t believe it, and Ken just replied, “Yeah.” Inocchi also explained that not only fans get nervous whenever they did this; the guys themselves get nervous too. He even recalled that Go’s fan was shaking so much, soon after he’s trembling too. XD
Once again they brought up the topic of Ken’s hair, how it went to crazy phases that it had been frizzy at one point, and then it had become soft and silky. (I think Inocchi was referring to the current hairstyle.) Some teasing between InoKen happened, to which prompted Inocchi to say, “You like (that part of) me anyway!” To which Ken answered with「好きだよ!」 (“Suki dayo!”) And fans partly died and partly teased Inocchi. In the end he said, “That’s family right there.” Getting overly sentimental as we get older, aren’t we~
Because it had been raining so hard, the talk became about Inocchi and how he’s an 雨男 (ame otoko, someone whose presence causes rain? or something) And he’s like, “What am I supposed to do about that?!” He hypothesized that if he went to Disneyland with a group of people, he bet it’s going to be annoying, and everyone would be like, “It’s Inohara-kun, right?” Poor him. Ken was quick to comfort him though, saying, “It’s okay. Everyone loves you anyway.” The camera then closed up on him and he made this smug face and combed his fringe (which I love, btw, but you don’t really want details of that).
Inocchi noticed that he, Ken and Go were the only ones talking, so he asked Nagano what he thought. Nagano said he’s just enjoying watching over them and smiling. XD He pointed to Okada, who Nagano said was doing the same thing. Okada then brought up Sakamoto, who had been doing weird things on their group circle cheer (whatever that’s called) earlier that day. According to Okada, Sakamoto made up these weird cheers that no one of them understood, and Inocchi agreed. He actually said that it didn’t make them energetic as a cheer should. So they made Sakamoto do it again, and apparently, it’s just a short “HUP!” kind of sound, and V5 were claiming they were expecting more than a sound. XD Sakamoto claimed he actually wanted Okada to do it, but Okada insisted that he do it instead because he’s the leader.
And again, Okada imitated debut-era!Sakamoto and how different he had used to do their group cheers compared to now. Shaking, and obviously he was very nervous about it. It’s pretty much gold every time Okada tells that story. XD
Okada’s Hirapaa-niisan CM was brought up next, as they showed us the CM. (Still funny every time I watch it.) Inocchi made Hirapaa-niisan, er I mean Okada, do the “OMA!” part and told everyone that we literally had to fake falling down like how people in the CM did it. Okada went “OMA!” and we faked it (so badly I think haha). Inocchi then made fun of us for sitting down as soon as we “fell down”. XD I can’t remember if it was Okada or Inocchi who said it, but the main idea was that V5 would be willing to do the CMs as well if they were given the chance. (Okada did say “Hirapaa-niisan’s friends” and it made me a happy panda fangirl.) Okada then mentioned that they would also be falling down, but Inocchi was quick to retort that they should be doing the “OMA!” part too! A part of me wished they would all do it right then and there, but yeah.
They proceeded to promoting the album, and the goods that came with each version. Sakamoto was basically Ken’s assistant in this segment. XD After which they introduced the star fans wrote their wishes on.
First wish was for Go; a fan wanted him to do/say something that would make her fall in love with him (as she’s a new fan). When the camera panned to her, she’s actually a six-year-old kid. *3* Her mom (who’s definitely a Go fan XD) kept making her react to V6 whenever they asked her a question, but she really didn’t react much. I think what Go did was his back turned, he flexed his left arm and said something like カチカチだぞ (Kachikachi dazo) as most likely an attempt to make her laugh (which is so cute of him), but she didn’t say or do anything. And Go went, “Huh, did I fail that one?” The mom said he did well, but V6 weren’t entirely convinced of that. XD
Second wish was for Nagano. I could not for the life of me understand what the actual words were, but Nagano’s response was to do some sort of flying kiss/salute combination (without the kiss) and cheered her on. It’s really hard to explain since I’m not exactly sure what the wish was about. ^^;;
Okada’s was last, and this was the most interesting. The fan aspires to be a comedian, she said, and she wanted Okada to give her a one-shot gag she could do. Most interesting, because aside from the fact that she wanted to be a comedian, even though the fan was on the 2F stands, she could actually give out answers from there clearly without a mic on. XD Inocchi was like, “Oh cool, you’ll need that in your chosen career!” She said that they (she and her partner) were a comedy pair. Okada was hesitant at first, but declared that he would do an impression he hadn’t done in a long time. He made her say something as a prompt, and did the impression. Now, I’m not sure who/what it was, but since it’ll be in the DVD I can make it as a surprise kind of thing. XD;; (Sorry!) Though, Okada said he hadn’t done it in 10 years, so it might be a clue of sorts. (I’m terrible, I’m sorry!) Happy fan was happy, saying she would gladly use it in the future. Inocchi asked Okada what he would do if she failed at that, so Okada asked her instead. XD She said it'd be a pleasure to use.
VTR portion was next, and Inocchi basically sounded fed up about Maa-kun and his 3D model-making addiction. And yes, Ken did call Masa “3D Hentai”. XD So, the VTR started. V5 were shown at the hallway, Inocchi claiming that Masa was way too addicted to his laptop/3D model-making so they decided to visit him in the dressing room. Fans were laughing at Ken because he was eating a hotdog and talking sometimes with his mouth full. XD They entered the room, seeing Masa with his MacBook. Masa showed his replica of the entire Yoyogi National Stadium: from the entrance, the lobby, to the very detailed stadium with the stage and even the area where they exited after performing. (Masa’s addiction to the thing isn’t a joke. XD) Also Ken poked Go’s cheek twice when the camera focused on them. :3 Then Inocchi nearly zipped Nagano’s jacket down, but he protested so he zipped it back up, going “That was close!” Go then approached Inocchi to zip his jacket down, but he also protested like Nagano did and zipped it back up. Soon after, Inocchi exited the room, then onto the Oyasumi video.
Inocchi talked for a bit, as if talking to someone in bed with him, like “Let’s sleep now! Okay?” He also sang (then spoke, then sang again) Believe Your Smile. Funniest part? Inocchi couldn’t blow off the candle fire. XD He kept saying, “I’ll blow it off, okay?” But couldn’t for about five times. He had to pause to breathe at one point, because he got tired doing it. XD Everyone was pretty much dying at that point. He finally did in the end, and the VTR also ended.
After Main MC
Inocchi was revealed in the front stage, sitting and playing the guitar for the intro of Maybe. Go appeared next, and he walked around the stage as the rest of the members (Sakamoto first, OkaKen, then Nagano) showed up. They changed into dark blue jackets with black shirt underneath and black-and-white striped pants.
There was choreography for this song, for example during Inocchi’s lines in the second verse, but mainly just little movements that fit the momentary strong beat. For the most part they just walked around. As I expected, there was also a dance break in the middle, and they did it in the front stage. Spotlights on them were pretty.
For 線香花火 (Senkou Hanabi), they stayed on the front stage, but on different elevated platforms if I remember correctly. Nagano’s and Inocchi’s voices were so perfect and smooth and I just. Melted. The prettiest thing in this song is the disco ball in the middle, as there was a yellow light directed to it. The effect looked like fireflies all around the stadium. *____* One of the prettiest things I’ve seen.
エキゾチック・トリップ (Exotic Trip) was up next, and the guys transferred to the upper stage. They were holding stand mics. There weren’t screens behind them but there were graphics and lights that highlighted the columns/pillars depending on the members’ colors. It would move once they moved, for example, InoGo would switch places and the “colored pillars” would bend in their direction. Really cool. Every time they sang 「ギラッ」a huge eye would appear on behind them as well. This performance actually made me appreciate this song more, so I think that says a lot.
Btw, the transition to POISON PEACH was so flawless, I didn’t even think the song already started. This is one of my favorite performances from the tour for some inexplicable reason. I think it’s the choreography, as they had this knee popping (IDK how to explain it) movements that were really unf-inducing. They truncated this song a bit, so that the 1 (PEACH), 2 (PEACH)… part continued until …5 (PEACH), 6 (PEACH). Every time someone said “PEACH” or “POISON PEACH” their faces would appear on screens behind and on the side screens. Colored, mind you.
ROCK YOUR SOUL was next, flames abound! It was performed as it had been on TV, just as perfect and flawless etc. etc. But they definitely did not do the entire song, although the bridge remained there. I still think RYS is a quality song.
kEEP oN. also contends as one of my favorite performances, if only for the nostalgic feel it brings to us. Inocchi and Okada started the song, the two of them standing on each side of the front stage, Inocchi on the left, Okada on the right. The photos that appeared behind them depended on who was singing at the moment. Baby pictures! No one can resist baby pictures. Okada made us sing a bit of his part. His smile, oh gosh. *A*
As soon as Ken said “Let’s KEEP ON”, the rest appeared at the upper stage, wearing a new set of costumes (the neon green ones that never made me doubt that it was all Ken’s doing). More baby pictures! The interesting bit was during GoKen’s rap. Because they were positioned on the right side of the stage, the photos of the both of them appeared only on the right side of the screens, right behind each of them. So cute! And every time all of V6 would sing, an old clip of them dancing played on-screen. So nostalgic. ;A;
Next was HONEY BEAT! When SakaOkaGo went over to the right side, Go put an arm around Nagano, Okada was hugging Ken (I think, either that or he also had an arm around him), and Sakamoto hanged an arm on Inocchi’s shoulder. :)
During 翼になれ (Tsubasa ni Nare), the guys began walking around the stadium again. 愛なんだ (Ai Nanda) followed soon after. Okada walked by our side but he didn’t get to stay. Then, throughout the last chorus until the end, V6 went to the stage at the back and danced (just like in Music Lovers) and did the entire walking-away-but-looking-back antic twice (just like in Music Lovers)!
Music stopped for a while, as Ken spoke. He talked about how they all loved the songs they sang so far, and because of those songs that people were able to support them. He also mentioned how grateful and happy they were because they were able to meet a lot of people through their music as well as being able to give strength as well, and that the next song represented how they really felt. Of course, ミュージック・ライフ (Music Life) played afterwards. There was a bit of a GoKen moment here; Ken was trying to catch Go’s attention by talking to him off mic. The guys walked back to the front stage. They walked by our side too, so lots of screaming ensued. XD The graphics were pretty during this song too! Colorful and showed the lyrics for the song. Streamers with V6’s messages on them were blasted out at the end of the song, and while it actually didn’t reach us, some kind fans were passing out extra streamers that fell on their side. ;A;
First encore
V6 appeared for the first encore! Wearing black with white spots and colored shirts underneath, they sang スピリット (Spirit). (Confession, though: from here on everything is pretty much a blur for me, since it’s encore and there’s no choreography or anything like that to take note of.) What I do remember from this one is that Nagano and Okada climbed up the stairs to our left side, and they had their arms around each other while singing their parts. So cute! ^o^
Spirit started the encore which led to the “V6 Hits Medley”, or something like that. XD The only thing I remember about グッデイ!! (Good Day!!) is Inocchi passing by our entire section. I was pretty stoked to hear 愛のMelody (Ai no Melody) too, because it is one of my absolute favorites. Believe Your Smile followed soon after, and this was where they started to throw around some of the necklaces to the audience, particularly by the stands on the second floor. Apparently these were all scattered on the runway, as Sakamoto picked them up from there and threw all of the necklaces in one go. Okada and Nagano, meanwhile, threw about 2-3 necklaces at a time.
Then they made their way to the center stage again, just in time for サンダーバード-your voice- (Thunderbird -your voice-)! Which I could cry tears of joy, because the choreography for this song always leaves me in awe. And it certainly did! *o* Sometimes you wonder how they are able to continue doing the stuff they do, and ugh. ♥
UTAO-UTAO! Again, my notes are telling me that it was during this time Go threw necklaces at our side, which basically he did the same way Sakamoto did. I do remember Maa-kun (ugh, I call him by different nicknames in this thing what) staying at our side, SIX METERS AWAY, making us sing the chorus. The hardest part of it all was trying to remember all the words as he smiled and stared at you and expecting you to sing and. Yes, a fangirl’s life is hard. ANYWAY. At the end of it, the guys said their Goodbye’s and Thank You’s and I didn’t really want it to end at this point (Who would, really).
Second encore + Thank You’s
Last song of the night was Swing! Go and Nagano passed by our side! Also Ken, who threw signed boards to the other side of the arena, but did wave at us and showed his knees wonderfully cute smile. :D
Then, Thank you’s! I am terribly sorry that I fail at Japanese, but I will try my best to relay what they said.
Inocchi began thanking us for coming and spending our time with them. He said that he wanted them to be “everyone’s V6” from then on, and asked for continued support. ^_^
Sakamoto said that they would keep doing this no matter how old they get (I think he said “jiichan” hee), and because we love him for saying things like that, people cheered on really loudly.
Nagano expressed his hopes for a 20th anniversary concert, for everyone to attend that set of concerts. ^_^
Ken’s is by far my favorite. He began by saying that for anyone, there would always be hard times, times where people would think life was tough, but for fans to choose the concerts to spend their time in order to have fun, where even just for a while they would like to forget their problems by coming to these concerts, it really made him happy. He also said, “Everyone today was so cute!” which you would expect of Ken, really.
Go said he’s really happy to able to hold concerts this year, especially that it had been two years since their last tour. He asked fans to come again soon.
Okada thanked his members too! Which I really love. “To make something like this, and then have the fans appreciate it is a really good thing,” he said. He promoted Toshokan Sensou afterwards. XD Then he apologized, because he admitted that he wouldn’t know if V6 would be able to do concerts next year due to his busy schedule. He specifically said that he would be to blame. XD Everyone went, “EHHHHHH!” and he just said, “Yup, it’s my fault.” (And Ken’s “He’s the bad guy!”) He quickly added though, that he of course would try his best to make everyone happy.
Ken gave us another flying kiss before he went backstage. After they left the stage again, we tried to ask for “one more” but the staff kept shouting at us to sit down. So there’s no third encore in the DVD, you guys. Sorry, we really tried.
One more thing. Since I have faulty memory, often my problem would be that I know they did this certain effect but I can’t remember which song it was done with. So I’m putting it in the last part where you maybe have no longer interest in reading, but I digress. An interesting effect on the front stage they did this time was like the one in Voyager concert where they had some of the platforms inclined, but this was much cooler because it was actually a FREAKING GRAPHICS SCREEN and they walked and danced on it and I was pretty much left amazed. Then again, maybe I’m just easily pleased. Either way it’s worth looking out for.
So my brain associates it with 大人Guyz the most, so it might be from that song.
Fanservice + Personal thoughts
And this is the reason why I chopped everything into sections, in case there are some things you want to read first or skip entirely. Many of you won’t care about the fanservice I got, but since this is my journal I would also share them with anyone who’s interested. ^_^
But before that, in general, V6 is a group composed of very handsome men. And while I know you already know this, I am reiterating this because TV DOESN’T DO ANY OF THEM JUSTICE. Seriously, everyone looks exactly the same as they do on TV, BUT IN A WAY, BETTER. It’s probably something that doesn’t translate well on TV, because everyone is somehow much, MUCH more charming in person. It’s just. It’s hard to explain, obviously, but you get the point. Right? Okay, moving on.
In order (I think):
Okada - Some of you know, and if you don’t, the only member-centric self-made uchiwa I had was directed to him. It said something like “I did kali too, let’s do it together~”. I wish he saw it, but he rarely stopped nearby so I couldn’t even show it to him properly. He did pass by my left side, near the stands. He waved to the people closest to him in that section of the arena, and then he shifted his eyes towards us! I want to say that he saw me, since he looked in my direction, but I cannot be entirely sure since I was a bit far. He rarely passed by the runway at the center on his own, so my chance was moot, really.
Inocchi - Inocchi sported a hair that I adore~. It’s been a while since he kept it that long, so I was quite pleased to see it in person. :3 Okay, fanservice. It might’ve been during D.I.S. that he stopped by the runway nearest to my side. He waved at a couple of girls in front of me and pointed at a fan holding a 井 uchiwa (still so envious of her T^T), as said earlier. Since he was so close to us, I’m certain he looked in my direction, but his reaction was his default beautiful smile so I couldn’t tell if he noticed me in particular or not. I hope he did. That smile, though, is really priceless. *A* The man is walking concentrated sunshine, and it is not an exaggeration. TV doesn’t do his handsomeness justice.
Go - During UTAO-UTAO, Go stayed at the runway nearest to us for a pretty long while, singing and tempting us to catch the bajillion necklaces he had on his arm. With one full swing (ahaha, golf pun… no?), he threw everything to a couple of rows behind me, and everyone went crazy to get them. It was a bit far for me to catch, to be honest, ALTHOUGH, one necklace fell behind my seat and I picked it up as fast as I could. So yes, a necklace from Go. ♥_♥ Afterwards, he stayed for a bit longer, walking around, and I tried to catch his attention by going, “Go-kun!!” and then he looked at me, and his eyes squinting at me. (*O*) It was about for a few seconds, and that’s the time I suspected he was reading my フィリピン uchiwa because the text was probably too little. XD ♥
Yes, it was this necklace. :)
Masa - To be honest, I am not used to calling Sakamoto “Masa” until now. Only now, because seriously, the man is overflowing charm on legs in person. I am not kidding. And “Masa” certainly suits that image of him. Man has class, and he knows it. But I digress! He actually passed by that runway solo many times, but it was during UTAO-UTAO that he gave us attention. The funny thing was, he made us sing a chorus of UTAO-UTAO. Apparently, when he looks at you, you get flustered and forget things and I basically forgot the words to the song, and he looked so happy expecting us to sing it so I basically tried to do lip-synching (which was hard, btw) before he walked away. That look was too much and I couldn’t take it. ;o; /dies (I still laugh to this day every time I remember UTAO-UTAO.)
Nagano - Nagano is the prettiest thing to walk this earth. THE END. Kidding, of course, about ‘the end’ thing. About being the prettiest thing on earth, nope. Like Masa, Nagano came by after Masa did during UTAO-UTAO, and it was around this time that I busted out my OMG!Nagano uchiwa and almost waved my arm off just for him to notice me (I’d been doing it since the start of the concert, but my efforts had been futile). He stopped and stared, just like Go did. (*A*) Again, I think he was reading my uchiwa because of the time it took him to look at me and then leave. It’s hard to believe at first, since you see him staring at you and smiling, but yeah, it happened. (*A*)
Ken - Ken was the last to spend that much time by our side of the stadium, and it was during Swing! He was holding some signed boards, and like Go, he was taunting us before throwing it to the other side. He faced the opposite direction soon after and waved at all of us. (^o^) I believe like Inocchi, he looked in my direction but I’m not sure if he noticed me in particular or not. Probably not, but a fangirl can always dream~. Btw, Ken sported, as fans mentioned, “milk tea” colored hair (to me it was more of a dirty blonde). It was definitely darker underneath though, so it had a nice effect on his overall hairstyle.
I’m absolutely certain that I did nothing for them to notice me, and that it was only because I was wearing
a panda hat (It's a clickable link! CLICK!) among a sea of people that wasn’t, so I deem myself lucky because of it. So yeah, another favor, if you see someone in the audience with a white hat on, that’s most likely me. v(^_^;)
Finally, comments are most certainly welcome as questions do. Don’t hesitate to flail! I will definitely reply to all comments. :D Plus if you’ve read everything here, then I’m pretty sure you didn’t need to take the time to read it, so I thank you for spending your time with me. ♥
Also, a 20th anniversary meet-up would be nice. ^_^
