More stuff about Rosie

When it comes to playing, it's quite obvious that Rosie has a lot of Rat Terrier in her. Why is this? Here is a list of her toys, and what she will play with.

Bone shaped rope: A lot of dogs like them, Rosie hasn't chewed on it much.
Tennis Balls: A classic dog toy, but Rosie wants nothing to do with them
Twisted Rubber stick, bacon scented: She licks this more than she chews it.
Bone shaped rope with tennis ball center: She's never chewed it.
Plush toy with squeaker: She actually ran from this. lol
Plush Ball: She's chewed it a little bit.
Old Pair of socks: Hold them in front her and she'll chew on them, but she won't any after that.

So what does she play with the most? A chirping mouse CAT toy. It's big enough to where she won't be able to swallow it, and she isn't an agressive chewer with it, so I let her play with it. I'd like to find something bigger, but the Bowling Green Petco is the only place around here that might have a plush rat dog toy. Rosie will also go after the tiny little mouse toys the Butterscotch (the Maine Coon Cat) plays with, but I don't let her play with them. She really loves them, but she could easily choke on them. Despite her love of cat toys, she is all dog. She loves pig ears and will give puppy dog kisses at any given chance, aiming right for the lips. It has to be the Rat Terrier in her that makes her want to go after these mouse toys.

I should have pictures of her soon. I'm going to take some of Patches and Butterscotch too, so yall can see all of the pets in this house. Only Rosie is really officially mine, and she knows this, although she has taken up quite well to my mom, the cats are under my parents' names at the vets. This is Saturday will mark 1 week of having Rosie, but I've already fallen in love with that dog. The girl at the animal shelter said if I were to like Roise, it would be for her personality, but I disagree. The moment I saw her at the foster home, she melted my heart wagging the stub of a tail she has. Her personality only makes her that much more likeable. I think she is well worth more than the $65 I paid with her, plus all I've spent on toys(that she doesn't even play with for the most part. lol) treats, and food.

When I first told my dad that I had signed to adopt a dog, he was shocked and tried to show his 'not another animal' attitude, but you can tell that he was happy about the idea. Sorry dad, you're just not a very good actor. Rosie does enjoy his chair, and he enjoys that, despite the fact that he tells Rosie (in a baby talking voice) otherwise. lol
