Oct 14, 2007 19:24

What's this? Aren't I supposed to be dealing in Senior Year books? Yeah... some overhauling of the library nonsense this week. Don't get me started. Every last Senior Year book was missing. Hopefully they'll be back next week, or I'm going on a rampage. Fortunately, I did manage to find me a couple of SVTs to hold me over, so I invite you all ( Read more... )

recapper: ocelott, instant celebrity status, sweet valley twins, oh hi steven

Have you guys ever read the Super Chiller - The Haunted Burial Ground? Cos jess has an amazing voice in that one, so how come she has a crap voice in this?

I guess Jess's voice changes as it's convenient to fit the plot? I dunno, but these inconsistencies crack me up.

Yeah, cos in that book she was good enough to sing with Scott Trost, who was the lead singer of a well known high school band. And yet, in this one and a Special edition Xmas one, The year Without Christmas, it makes a big deal of how crap her voice is.

She has a terrible voice again later in the SVU series, but a lovely, melodic voice in Jessica, the Rock Star (once she stops trying to emulate Melody Powers "throaty" voice.)

Jessica is excited now that she's going to become famous. By being featured in one tv commercial.

On local TV. Our Jess is a dreamer.

Unfortunately, the kid who comes closest already has a twin and thanks Steven for the heads up about the audition.

See, there are Steven quadruplets! And all in the small, nothing town of Sweet Valley :p

It was a national commercial spot, not just a local one. And they probably got paid 5 grand a day (SAG standard rates) each. So I'd be feeling pretty special and famous, too. =)

Lol! It so does not make sense for Steven to have a doppelganger...
and yeah, "Corny-O's" would be a wicked name, but "Breakfast of Enemies"
is pretty lame-tastic itself...

The whole book was pretty lame-tastic. The cover alone made me cringe.

Sadly, we still kind of enjoy the sociopaths... I mean, we're still reading about them, after all!

Steven's plot was by far the best part of the book.
