SVK Super Special 5: Elizabeth Hatches an Egg

Oct 02, 2009 21:49

I bought a bunch of Sweet Valley Kids books on eBay. Then I posted a poll in my LJ about which one sounded the funniest. This one, Super Special #5, won by a very, very large margin. I can’t imagine why. OH WAIT. Could it be the title which just happens to be “ELIZABETH HATCHES AN EGG”? I think it might ( Read more... )

1. It’s an egg! It will crack! Then she will have EGG all over her pillow! Unless her pillow is made of bread that she can fry up with cinnamon and sugar, I don’t think that’s a good idea.

Hahaha @ the pillow made of bread...but I still say egg all over your pillow is preferable to chicken fetus all over your pillow.

Also I had no idea what the "Lilies of the Valley" faberge egg looked like, but that photo is exactly how I pictured 7-year-old Lila's dream-egg.

You just reminded me of the time I cracked open an egg when I was working the breakfast shift at McShits and there lying in the egg ring was a chicken foetus. When I yelled for the manager he was like "Wow! I've never seen one of those before!" (And no, we didn't serve it.)

So we're supposed to think Elizabeth is all literary because she named her chick Sneetches? Oh, it's a bird, like the birds in the dr seuss story. LIZ CAN READ A PICTURE BOOK!

So she's visited the Sneetches Beaches and know what they sound like? Cuz otherwise they'd sound like Paul Winchell or Bob Holt -is a dork-

Thank you! I knew there was a Sneetches in a book but I couldn't remember where and it was driving me nuts. I do love that they dropped the "t" to avoid copyright issues. XD

I just stared at this recap, starting with the title of the book, then laughed uproariously at the sheer absurdity of such a book :D

Thanks for making my night. :)

Yay! I've been waiting for this one...not that I've ever read it or anything, I just think it's the most absurd title I've ever heard. Great recap :)
