I'm hoping to lose myself at the concert tonight.
I really really miss having a 35mm SLR on hand. I loved that weight, the awkward heaviness that settles into your hand; I love that when you look through the lens you can turn your wheel to different focuses...you can change what you want to be seen. I miss thinking in black and white: composing in color but knowing that when it comes out it will be nothing but greyscale. I miss slaving in the darkroom. I feel like I've lost my center.
In other news, I'm going to get "quod scripsi scripsi" tattooed on my right tricep over Christmas break (if I did it when we had classes it would make palpations difficult).
I fucking miss Kingfisher.
edit, 4:18 pm- Besides my P&P teachers, Northwestern's staff has been fabulous about the name change stuff. I had talked to the IT department on Thursday about changing my name in the email directory, and I just got a call saying that they set me up with a whole new address to make it easier all around. (The addresses are of the first initial-last name variety.)
