I've done so much in the past few days, it's insane. On Friday, Savanna and I went to Kalamazoo. She's starting at Western in the fall, and I'll hopefully be joining her in the winter. Kalamazoo is amazing. There's so much to do - they have a piano bar, for crying out loud. That's the sweetest thing ever. We drove around Kalamazoo for two hours just looking for different cool stuff. They have two K-Marts, two Targets, two Meijer's, a ton of McDonald's, Burger Kings, Subways, Taco Bells - the only things I don't remember seeing were a Tim Horton's and a Wal-Mart. But wow.
Friday night was Brendan's pot luck. That was a ton of fun! Got to meet Sharique, he's cool. The movie we watched is kind of making me reconsider psychology. Just kidding. That was a good movie. Quite odd, but good. Pool was fun, too, but I suck at pool, so it was enjoyable making an ass out of myself. And I'm not even being sarcastic! I got home around 5 and stayed up for two hours to pick my mom up from the band lock-in. Got home around 8 am and went to bed. I slept until 2:30, then talked to my mom before she left for the Palace to do concessions for the Pistons game. Anyway, after she left, I started watching Moonstruck. My Uncle Tom called me around 4:30, and asked me to pick up my cousin Katie from work. He gave me some directions (and my directions I mean the road the place was on and what the place was called), and off I went. I kid you not, it took me about 45 minutes to find her! I had to go to my grandparents' house to get directions. Then I had to take her home. So by the time I got her there it was already after 6. I talked to her her mom (Aunt Annie) for awhile, and she told me to stay for dinner. We had chicken fried rice, garlic bread and watched Shrek 2. Then, she took me outside to see her property, so we rode around on a four-wheeler and talked. That was really fun. Then we raced Katie when she got on her four-wheeler. Eventually, we went inside and watched the Pistons game. Then we watched Candyman. Uncle Tom came home, and we started watching Meet the Fockers, but I left around a quarter to 2 in the morning 'cause Katie and Aunt Annie were going to bed. I made it home at about 2:30 (they live in Otisville).
Today, I woke up late, and my mom told me to clean the house. She went to Frankenmuth to go see my cousin, Gage's choir concert thingy, and she called me to let me know there was a tornado watch. So I started watching the weather. 4:30 rolls around, and Gonder calls looking for my mom. I told him that she wasn't home, and he told me he needed to find another adult to ride the other bus 'cause the kids had graduation tonight and they were taking two buses. He guilted me into going (he called me an adult - I just felt old but not), so I rushed to get ready, and he picked me up at 5:30 'cause my car is broken and mom had hers. Once we got there, we had to load all of the percussion equipment onto the trailer. That was fun - it was incredibly hot, and we were loading stuff into a trailer that had been outside in the hot sun all day. Needless to say, I suddenly felt that the shower I'd just rushed through was for nothing. So I chaperoned graduation, go to see some friends graduate, and got home at around 11 this eve. What fun.
I have a psychology quiz tomorrow, and I need to go, but I have one more thing to talk about. My Aunt Annie told me that I could have a bonfire there anytime if I want to. Now, this would be a ton of fun 'cause she's super cool, and has no problems with drinking (just as long as no one drinks and drives), and would be a blast to hang out with. I'm just curious if there would be any interest. So let me know if it sounds like fun, and I'll talk to her about it.
