Here are two fabric combinations for a 18th century style *costume*, not for any sort of historical anything. I plan on stays but no fussy hand sewing for a concert that's coming later this month and possibly for haloween costume. So let me borrow your eyes for color combinations.
I'm leaning to the gray because it seems like the definition around the waist will be more apparent. Lordy knows what little I have will need to be accentuated. I'd like to do a petticoat and stomacher in gray, and a polonaise- able gown to go over top. Do your eyes agree with Gray? Or do they adore black?
