I stayed up until four-thirty in the morning to finish reading the thirteenth Dortmunder book. Westlake is just that good.
This one was actually one of the best Dortmunder books in years, though. I particularly liked it because Murch had his own little plotline for part of the story, which was nice to see (I have so much in common with him it's scary). I also love the fact that he's taking Judson under his wing, which is adorable. I won't give away any plot elements, of course - you have to read the book for yourselves. Trust me, though, it's worthwhile.
And this is why Stan Murch is cute:
"My Mom used to read to me," Stan said. "When I was a kid. Mostly biographies of race car drivers."
