No, I'm totally not playing favorites right now!

Hmmm, so this is pretty interesting. I just followed the first inning of the PawSox game, and after just one inning Timlin was pulled from the game without any reasonable explanation. He didn't give up any runs (two hits, though; he also struck out one) and only threw 18 pitches, 12 of which were strikes. I guess they're taking this rehabilitation slow. He's supposed to pitch in another game in Pawtucket later this week, or so I've read, so perhaps he'll go longer during that one.

(I also felt when Jed was going to fan again. We are totally connected. Okay, not. But I'm still good at predicting what he does - and he's the only player who I can do this for, so that has to count for something, right?)

I am also becoming increasingly stressed as I await the result of the Stanford-Cal game, which started at 5:30. There is no audio of this game on Yahoo! or ESPN, and ESPN doesn't want to update the score until the game is entirely over, which I don't quite get. Fortunately for me, I literally just discovered College Game Tracker about a minute ago. This is kind of awesome. It's like Gameday for college teams. I am absolutely in love. As I write this, it's the top of the fifth, and the kids with the Tree are up 4-1.

Also, I take back my statement from my last entry, in which I said Cal was leading the Pac-10 in conference play. The Pac-10 website is not fully updated yet, because Cal is actually tied with ASU and Stanford. So intens indeed! Or maybe not - I'm confused, as the Pac-10 website appears to actually be ahead of the other site I checked. I'm totally, totally confused right now. And at one point tonight, I'll be watching four baseball games at once:

~ The Yankees and Rays on ESPN: It's baseball on TV, so I automatically have to watch it. That's how it works. [Final score: Yankees 6, Tampa Bay 1. Ew.]

~ The PawSox playing Lehigh Valley on Gameday with Firefox: They're my boys. I mean, the whole Timlin thing is rather interesting, too, and I'd love to know what's going on there. (Also, Jed is there, and...uhm, yeah. I won't go into the fact that Chris Carter is there, too.) [Final score: Pawtucket 9, Lehigh Valley 3. I am convinced the rally started because Jed and Chris found out Stanford had lost its lead and was losing 5-4 at the time.]

~ Albuquerque and Iowa from the Pacific Coast League on Gameday with Internet Explorer: Because I want to see Sam Fuld. Can you really blame me? The guy's a huge stat geek! [Final score: Iowa 8, Albuquerque 4.]

Photo from The Diamond Angle, as per usual.

~ Stanford and Cal on College Game Tracker: I've been looking forward to this game for quite some time now, and I'm so glad I've finally found a way to watch Pac-10 games on my computer. I'm really excited - I'm definitely looking forward to some ASU vs. OSU, especially since I love the way I get to envision Dustin Pedroia and Jacoby Ellsbury bickering over the results of the games...[Currently in the top of the 14th tied at 5-5. Since there have been no updates for almost half an hour, I am going to assume that the game was called after 13 innings. It ends in a tie, if that's the case.]

I am officially certifiably crazy.

And too emotionally invested in Stanford.

Good thing Mussina isn't starting tonight! I'm not too keen on him, but he went to the school with the Tree, too, so this could have ended up looking really, really awkward...

...oh, shit. He is starting tonight. Wow. This is really, really embarrassing.

baseball: i am obsessed with jed lowrie, baseball: jed lowrie, baseball: chris carter, internet: things that amuse me too much, life: i need a life, baseball: prospect awareness, baseball: i am such a prospect stalker, college baseball: pac-12 kids haul ass, baseball: minor league news, baseball: mike timlin, baseball: sox prospects, life: i have no life, college baseball: stanford, baseball: sam fuld, baseball: pawsox
