The 2009 Roster...in 2008. Well, almost.

Mar 23, 2008 00:19

This literally made me explode with joy. SoxProspects.com is already out projecting the 2009 rosters, even though we're barely into 2008. Either way, there were some aspects of this new roster that just about made me die with happiness. There are one or two things that made me rather sad, though. It's a bit like watching a movie, I guess. Either ( Read more... )

I know it sounds weird as hell, but I think Cora will be back in 09. Okay maybe it's just me being all silly attachment, but I mean it's more of putting Jedward in a backup role is kinda stunting his growth. So I think the gist would be something like maybe they'll trade someone(hopefully not Jed because I like him too much) and then Cora stays backup. I dunno, I just see that happening. *shrugs shoulders*

Also, I kinda love how I somewhat converted you into at least friendshippy Cora and Lowell(though I will say that the two do seem to carry some strange mancrushy tendencies toward each other...I mean Lowell said Cora was the sexiest position player in the Friendly's Scoop thing w/ Papelbon) :D

I'd love to see Cora stay. I'm seriously hoping something works out so that we can keep both him and Jed here (it'd probably be difficult to trade Lugo with two years still left on his contract at the end of '08, though). My top three untouchable prospects are Jed, Justin and Lars, closely followed by Argenis and Bowden. (I personally think they've put too much work into developing Jed to just get rid of him like that.)

You have me so converted - and it's great. They're adorable!

The funny thing was that in 06, I didn't even think about it at all but then the "Welcome Home Dinner" happened and the two were just goofing off and would not shut up to each other(honestly this is another instance in which the background has distracted me from the foreground) and I think they were poking each other and then they got busted by the hosts(well Mikey did but Alex was just as embarrassed). Since then I've been like loving their goofiness and such.

Argenis and Lars are my youngin boys. Though hell I like all the youngins. Oh and I likely am going to be going to McCoy on April 3rd because of my TV Production class stuff and the RIC trip(and one of the guys I'm doing the project with has connections anyway just in case).

And to top it all off I just came across This really sweet article about the rookies and veterans and stuff...and this one little line from Tito seemed to make me snorfle in adorability.(btw AC = nickname for Cora)

And it didn't take clubhouse access to see the personality of Pedroia - measured, ( ... )

I really, really wish the footage of that existed somewhere on the internet. They sound so freaking cute. (And they were embarrassed about being caught? Priceless.)

YES! I'm still planning to get up there this year - I have to try to convince my friends that getting there when the park opens so we can watch BP is a good idea. I'm still trying to imagine myself trying to get Jed to sign something, though - I honestly think I'd be way too shy to talk to him in person. (I'm...well, notoriously easily embarrassed. I can barely make eye contact with people I'm physically attracted to, so it'd be even harder here, considering I'm totally smitten in this case.)

Those two are totally Dustin's adopted parents. I love how they kept an eye on him, too, and generally took care of him - and then stepped aside and let him blossom. Just like real parents, actually!

I really really wish that I could've been able to see it again. NESN only showed it like 5 times and then poof it was gone. I mean I only watched it at first just to see what it was about but then I kept watching for the background. I mean occasionally they may have turned to talk to Timlin or Youk but it was mostly them talking. I think they knew they were right in front of the camera too. Smartasses ( ... )

...These two are becoming like crack to me. I'm so addicted to their friendship now that it's ridiculous.

"We've been friends for a long time now, but everywhere we go, Jacoby is in demand for autographs and interviews."

Awww, that must be awkward. I'm one of the few who'd want the same thing from Jed, though. His interviews are hilarious.

(I'm currently live-blogging the game as I type this. I'm on three hours of sleep. What's wrong with me?)

Oh, if only I could manage to go on August 2nd...When I was sixteen or seventeen, I once passed for a twelve-year-old at Shea Stadium. Being 5'2" and having your jersey almost reach your knees occasionally has its perks. (Most of the time it's just awkward, though. I'll probably be carded until I'm eighty.)

Most of my favorites are shaky defensively. They can hit, but they're a bit clumsy with their hands. Kaz is one of those, and Jed's another. (Kaz is just a weird sentimental favorite of mine - although now that I know that he and Daisuke were teammates back in Japan, I look slightly less weird.)

Too bad they won't ship any bobbleheads up to Fenway. That's the night I'll be there. A Dustin bobblehead would rock.
