As promised, my dad e-mailed me the picture he took of Carlton Fisk for me at the signing. I can't wait to see the signed ball when I go home on Saturday!
That aside, apologies for not posting much - I've been trying to study my Japanese (and making myself sick over the stupid Mitchell Report), so I've been a tad busy lately. There are just other things to be done before I leave here on Saturday...
Oh, last night on ESPN I heard that the Twins signed an outfielder to a one-year deal. Does this mean that maybe they don't need Jacoby anymore? It might, but then again, I'm not sure what's going on with Santana anymore. I'm trying to put it in the back of my mind for now. Other bits of news include Tejada signing with Houston, the Cubs landing Kosuke Fukudome (apparently no one on television can pronounce his name right, by the way, which gets on my nerves a bit) and Theo Epstein becoming a father (congrats, Theo!).
Oh, and the Brewers believe Gagne is worth $10 million. Wow. Woooow. Somebody in their front office either wasn't paying attention or is totally stoned. Yeah.
Right, back to Japanese. To everyone on TV, it's pronounced Ko-s-silent u-ke Fuu-kuu-do-mey. Not mi, mey. Got it? Good.
