I should get sick more often. Good things happen when I get sick.
The Sox have re-signed Mike Lowell. Yes, you read that correctly. It's pretty much official now - after they make it official tomorrow, he's back with us for three more years. Now maybe the nausea I've had for almost two weeks will finally go away. I literally made myself nauseous over this - seriously. It made my sinus infection that less fun. (I knew keeping those literally red socks on until he was re-signed would work!)
In unrelated news,
Detroit upsets St. Louis and Camden, NJ, to win the Most Dangerous City in America Award. As my parents can probably tell you, I find this "award" very amusing for some reason and consider the most dangerous city in the country the year's "winner." Maybe it's because I, a resident of New Jersey, know how rough Camden is. In fact, I'm usually surprised when Camden doesn't "win."
And I apologize for getting behind on Slumberwood - I got sick and was unable to post the two bios from last week, so I'll get those up later today. I'll be on the road tomorrow bringing my roommate home with me for Thanksgiving, so don't expect to hear much from me then. It's a bit of a haul, but I love driving, so it shouldn't be so bad. After all, if Marco can run a race with a sinus infection (which he did during the 2007 season - he finished in second place), I can drive for a few hours with one.
That's really all there is to it. Not even A-Rod winning the AL MVP can put a damper on my day now, really!
