Spring Training ahoy!
Tomorrow I'm leaving with soprano_no_eiji for our second annual Spring Training trip.
Awesome.
We're doing four games this time around. On Monday, we'll catch the Mets in Jupiter against the Marlins. On Tuesday, the Astros will be playing the Mets in Port St. Lucie. Wednesday is our off-day, and then on Thursday the Sox and the Mets are at Tradition Field, which will likely be the greatest game I ever go to in my life. Finally, the Sox will be in Jupiter on Friday taking on the Cardinals.
Last year, this happened. If I could actually say something to him this year, that'd make my life, but I'm too shy to even get close to my favorite players, let alone open my mouth and talk to them. I managed to get Josh Thole to sign our program last year, but that was before he was on my prospect radar. (soprano_no_eiji and I have since purchased his pants, amongst other things.)
If I can get Jed to sign a bottle of Lawry's marinade, it will make my life. However, I lack the ability to talk to Jed, so soprano_no_eiji will have to talk to him for me. I know she will be nice if the opportunity comes along, but right now she is teasing me and coming up with other things to say to him. Things that turn me red, y'know. Grrrr.
