That week was longer than I thought it would be!
I spent another frustrating day without a job. I still haven't heard back from those people yet, but it is supposed to take them a few weeks, so I won't get impatient or anything. Besides, I did an insane amount of work around the house this week, running a bunch of errands and whatnot, so I definitely kept busy.
I had two of my friends over tonight, and we watched the train wreck that was the Mets bullpen - although I cannot pin the entire loss on Heilman and Schoenweis, as the offense always seemed to stall when the bases were loaded. (One exciting thing - I found out the current closer for the Dodgers, Saito, has done some experimenting with a shuuto, which is an awesome pitch. I told this kid - let's pretend he's real for a minute - that if Saito threw a shuuto he would have to point it out to me, but it didn't happen tonight.)
I also made both of my friends watch a specific scene in episode nine of Oofuri in which Abe actually laughs, because that really never happens and I want everyone to see this scene if possible. It's a bit like how Tek was strangely happy during Spring Training this season - there's just something about it that's so fun. Seeing a person who's normally very serious suddenly start giggling hysterically and being silly is just so charming, isn't it?
