Cy Young would laugh at how fragile you all are, you know that?

Just a few quick hits from my friend's house before I go to get my back fixed later this afternoon (yes, I am missing yet another game):

Mihashi Clay broke his fingernail. As a result, we're giving him 15 days off. Eerily enough, it's his right middle finger, the same finger that Josh was sidelined by when it developed blisters last season. If ( Read more... )

JONATHAN VAN EVERY!

Love him. (Met him!)

Also, the return of Rick Astley = possible => AWESOME. Oh--and I was listening to the epic BPR interview yesterday on the T (again) and I looked up and RIGHT THERE was Astley-esque Bud Lite ad. Justin's voice was in my head and I was being uninentionally Rick Rolled by a beer ad. Good times.

He's great! I'm so, so excited for him! (Oh, heck, I'm excited for everybody who comes up from Pawtucket. But I've really liked what I've seen from Van Every so far this year.)

...YES. THAT IS AMAZING. Oh, Justin, you and your Rick Astley...(And there is never a bad time to listen to that interview. I do that all the time...)

I am so excited to see him play more! I got home at about 4, so I couldn't see his first major-league at-bat... but I saw his hit!

I started grinning like crazy when I realized that. I was just standing there, squished between about 10 people who smelled bad, and there it was. It was so ironic.

I missed the game due to a busy schedule (including having my back cracked for the first time, which was...interesting)...but you got to see his first hit! Yay! I'm so happy...

Oh, I love when that randomly happens...especially in public, because sometimes it freaks people out horribly when you just randomly crack up (I do this way, way too often).

And this is kind of amazing - she has met Sam Fuld. And has season tickets to Stanford. (is just...in awe)

I've been to a chiropractor once. It was kinda cool. I felt great afterwards.

I crack up all the time, for no reason. It's so much fun.

...that's kind of awesome. A lot. (love for Sam Fuld)

It was so, so nice on my back...my chair at college kind of destroyed it, so it was wonderful. I'm going again on Friday...

It's great. When I was at Hershey, my friend and I were talking about beavers and laughing hysterically and no one else knew why...it felt kind of amazing.

I am so unbelievably amazed...I'd love to sit down and talk with Sammy about anything. But I'd really like to hear what he has to say about statistics...

Hell, I'd talk to Sammy about shoelaces.* I totally love him.

*I may actually rather talk to Troy Trevor Tulowitzki about shoelaces, actually. There's a clip on the MLB WS DVD (wow, lots of acronyms) of someone walking past him and going, "Wow, rad shoelaces, Tulo." Now I want to know what his shoelaces look like.

I'm like that with Jed (except I can never actually picture myself having a conversation with him, but this is of course irrelevant). But if I could talk to him, I wouldn't care where the conversation went at all!

Tulo's shoelaces must've either been really epic or really dorky. For some reason, I'm leaning towards the latter...

Yeah... I'd just... start babbling about my theory (which I STILL haven't posted and at this rate I won't be able to until late June when school is over... or, you know, this weekend) and not make any sense and then realize I was babbling and shut up really awkwardly.

His name is Troy Trevor Tulowitzki. I'm pretty sure they were dorky. (Also--I just googled "Troy Tulowitzki shoelaces" and the first two results that come up are comments I've made about his shoelaces comment. Hah.)

I'd be really, really tempted to try to see how dorky Jed actually is (because he just never seems to fail to outdork himself!). Either that, or I'd just try (and probably succeed, because it's easy) to make him crack up, except then I'd probably drop to the floor unconscious.

...yeah, we need pictures. (Oh, I love it when that happens! I put something up on LJ and then Google it only to have my LJ come up immediately. My LJ actually comes up if you type in 'GirlSox Nation - Chris Carter' because I make too many jokes about that...)
