Things I did today that weren't related to studying Japanese

May 04, 2008 23:09

In between writing my mammoth study guide for my exam tomorrow, I took a few breaks (because let's be honest, if you don't take breaks, things get hellish). Here is how I spent said breaks:

Break 1: Listened to the Red Sox on the radio and followed along with the Center Field game thread. Worked on study guide throughout most of that, but took ( Read more... )

life: procrastination, slumberwood college baseball, baseball, college baseball: stanford, baseball: sam fuld

Hooray for Monday morning exams. =.=;;;;;;;;

Oh, roommates. Last year my roommate made a few good friends on our floor and they'd all come in and it was awkward because I'd sit there. And then have to eat with them. I eventually took to eating by myself for time and ease. Life was better when she left and I could play Lego Star Wars at 2am. But yes, next year is approaching!

Oh, no, really! I'm so...not excited. At least it's only supposed to be about an hour long...

It's hard, because I never really felt I fit in with this group, and somehow I don't feel respected. It takes everything I have not to snap sometimes...I've been trying to study in here, and people keep coming in and out! And whenever somebody comes to the door, it's never for me...I've taken to greeting people with, "Hi! She's not here...I'll tell her you were looking for her." (I don't use those exact words, but...yeah.)

Ours will be 100 questions--true/false, fill ins, and MC. I know this. I do not like it. Though it's better than an essay.

I know exactly how that feels. Last year I think the one time I talked at a meal was when I said something about the Mets. Once. In...four months. And the door thing...sometimes people would want to borrow my books (nice people), so they'd look for me. And people wanting us to sign meals away, those were popular. Sophomore year is so much better.

Mine's going to be a lot of writing...why, oh, why can't language tests ever be multiple choice? Waaaaah. (I'd take objective questions over an essay any day of the week!)

I almost never say anything at dinner anymore - these people generally wouldn't talk about anime or military history...or even baseball. I am the only baseball fan out of all of them. (That depresses me like all hell.) And I can't even count how many meals I've signed away this year...doing random surveys is annoying, too.

That's fail. I'd say we could switch, but then yours would be entirely "Oishi loves Eiji" and "Hyoutei." (I know...me too. But then Guelzo asks you the seven battles of the Seven Days battles and you cry inside.)

Silent dinners are the best. And I found the problem was I couldn't even be weird like when I went by myself. That's sad. At least last year other people kind of liked baseball. This year I'm on the 150/150 plan, so no meal-signing for me. But because of all of it, I have my id# memorized.

True. Most of my answers would consist of, "Uhm...a whale?" because I haven't studied the subject matter...

They're great, especially when I get to randomly make weird interjections. One time, somebody made a comment about declawing cats, and I went on a rant about why not to do that. It scared the entire table. I was proud of myself.

Same as mine! Score!!!

That's great! I never had that much courage. Though one time this person sat with us and she knew who the Golden Pair was!! It was exciting. She never sat with us again. : (

ALSO...SOMETIMES CLICKING ON RANDOM THINGS ON THE SIDE OF FACEBOOK ARE THE BEST THINGS TO HAPPEN IN LIFE

I REALLY WANT IT TOO! Seriously, if my dad calls me and I remember, I'm so going to ask for it. Because I MUST. IT IS ALMOST MORE IMPORTANT THAN TENIPURI 100 (but being $130 cheaper...).

I KNOW! I freaked when I saw it!!!!!!!!!

IT IS INSANELY IMPORTANT. ...right now the only thing more important is, sadly enough, Japanese...ugh.

It's perfect! I am totally using it as a plot point! (gives it to headspace!Jed)

I KNOW. See, I've just given up. I'm frustrated and I'm tired and yet I'm going to go look up Friedrick Hayek.

YAY! I knew my random clicking would one day pay off!!!!

It was just...so, so frustrating. I'm just getting so behind on things, too...

IT DID. You should be very, very proud.

Also, because Plex is a moron: "Maybe I threw it too high!"

I know! Normally I'm good at getting stuff done...I just keep putting it off for some reason. It's gotta be that whole 'end of the year' business...

Awwww, and it was epic, too. They were learning how to SHARE BALLS.

I suck. I really do. I always procrastinated, but now it's getting worse. Boo end of year.

NUUUUUU. *sad*

Yeah, I know! I'm an on and off procrastinator (it depends on how nerdy and motivated I feel), but right now I'm just an on procrastinator. It's getting bad...

Plex didn't die in this episode, though. I liked the snowball one where Muno shortcircuited him.
