just a quick note for anyone who's interested and waiting for an update: I am alive, and in the Peruvian city of Arequipa, called the white city, or the city of the moon, because of the white rock all the important buildings here are made of. I'm using the free internet at our hotel (yes, we're staying in a hotel here, which is an interesting story for later when I have more time) and am about to grab some breakfast and start our touring day off early (It's pushing 8 o'clock now).
