I have realized that I haven't checked my friends page on here since, what?.. Friday? And I guess I really should've read the entries posted on Saturday, in particular. So... I wrote a note to self. This note (on a green sticky - fuuun..) quickly escalated into a letter to the editor for our school newspaper

Blogs keep you in touch with people who are far away.

Also, I have a friend here who met a ton of her friends from livejournal. They just had a huge get together in Valpo (Indiana) this past weekend. These people she communicates with online are one of the reasons she made it through high school intact, despite the fact that most of them are a tad older than her.

Granted this is an extreme example, but think about the lives saved by having an outlet or a resource such as a blog to vent your feelings and have people love you if you are um... not as socially apt as some?

(this kinda makes my friend sound like a loser, which she is not, by any means, but look through communities on el jay and you will see countless forums where people go for help and reach out to others... recovering cutters, addicts, eating disorder-ers, etc...)

missing you, mandeh... sorry this turned into a super rant. ^_^;;
