No Oni!

Today was Setsubun. (節分) It's that awesome bean throwing holiday in Japan where you throw beans (or now peanuts) out your front door while shouting 鬼は外福は内 (Oni wa soto, fuku wa uchi). Thus welcoming good fortune into your household. I tossed my peanuts and chanted. I feel more fortunate already!
After all that, I went up to our local recycle shop. I browsed a bit and as I was leaving, notices they had a game for setsubun. Each person had 30 to move as many dried beans from one plate to another using chopsticks that were about 45 cm long! I moved 4 earning 100 yen off a purchase! If I had moved 2 more, it would have been a prize of 300 yen! I had a lot of fun trying. James couldn't move any beans so he was given a snack bar as a consolation prize.

Today I saw Angelic Pretty's new ballet print. I'm getting it! I just need to decide on a color! It is phenomenal and adorable and so many other amazing things! I need to clear out more room in my closet to accommodate!
