[A/N: No idea where this came from. Probably nostalgia while reading old entries, the desire to write for Thirteen again, my personal favorite Cameron's recent activity, and my lack of anything to do at work. What does a former CSI do half way across the world while her girlfriend heals the sick and raises the dead? Well, for a good number of weeks she was as sick as a dog, that took up a whole lot of time, or it seemed to anyway. When you’re sick you can’t remember a day you weren’t sick, same with when you’re hurting. That cleared up and so did her attitude about being there, it took awhile but some things don’t come easy. Some things you make come easy because you’re doing it for the person that you love. You learn the language, and how to catch and clean fish, you learn how to kill pretty much any sort of animal you might be able to cook and eat. Because that’s what everyone else does and Riley has never been squeamish about blood. You learn how to climb trees and you learn how to travel long, long distances in order to get to any sort of civilization and you learn how to help your girlfriend who shakes some times and has a real issue with mosquito netting.
