OMG! I ADORE my english language professor!!!) Though I have some complaints about the way he teaches (but I suppose it's a temporary thing 'cause we are a new group for him and he simply doesn't know quite yet what to do with us =))), I absolutely love him as a person! He's adorably cynical, sarcastic and witty! =))) And of course he knows a lot ( Read more... )

books, school, j'adore

Actually, I wasn't so lucky about english teachers) At school we had several of them and none impressed me much nor gave me a lot of knowledge %) But than in college I had a PERFECT one!!!))) She was just so in tune with me! I still adore her and we even visit her from time to time with a bottle of wine ^^ She also was sarcastic and had very special sense of humor which not everybody appreciated =) but I did))) She loved Roald Dahl and we read it a lot for home reading =) And now he's one of my favorite author ever))) Though my other teacher (here, in the university) was a bit shocked when I was retelling it XD))) So after her I had at least *counting* 5 different english teachers who were mildly speaking not really good...%) So now I'm very happy we have our dearest Alan =))) I guess one of the reasons I love him is that he reminds me of her, my perfect one ^^

Addicted?) Wow, is he that good?) Now i want to read his books even more! =)

Yeah, sure)
>>>"The English version is also translated, so it makes no difference in which language you read it."
I agree with that, totally =)

I'm reading a book of a danish writer now, in russian =)
But I guess it would be interesting to read a book translated into different languages to compare)
