Fanfic Rec - Tied For Last
Just posted this on my blog Loves Fanfiction! Needless to say, it was stunning.
Tied for Last by Speechwriter took up all my week. I read for several hours, each day, and loved every second. I’ve read a lot of stories, but I’ve been hitting the jackpot with Tomione fics. The quality is ridiculous. The stories are ridiculous.
For years, Lucius Malfoy has been my all time favorite character. But just this month I’ve read such amazing fics about such a complex character, that Tom Riddle Jr. is everything to me right now.
Now, I finished this story today. This morning, actually, and it was fantastic. I was on the edge of my… pillow? The entire time. I could hardly breathe, I was crying, I was all over the place. It’s been this way for 33 long chapters. There’ve been times during it that I couldn’t believe what I was reading.
If you love Hermione, she is in CHARGE. She’s powerful, invincible, and fearless. And Tom Riddle is… Just so much of everything. When he’s cold, he’s ice, but when he’s hot, when his emotions come through, he’s on fire. Speechwriter deserves a standing ovation for what she’s done with this pair, and with Harry Potter.
