Hey y'all! I was backtracking yesterday, and read EVERY blog post I've made since 2009 in hopes of finding a specific post about Snowqueens Icedragon in which someone (bunney? Soft (aka ratherbsailing)? Who?!) linked to someone else's LJ who hated her. Or something. I can't find it anywhere! Also, does anyone know what happened to Soft? Err,

That's sad, but understandable, about Soft. I used to be ADDICTED to Palringo (yes, totally unrelated) and talked on it all day, all night, and had more friends in other countries than I knew what to do with. I also had more stress and drama than I knew what to do with. But it was addictive. But eventually I logged off for a week. Then a month. Then several months. Then I realized how much life I was living by being away from all of the people there, in my iPhone. I also realized how much I had veered away from fanfiction (oOo) and my blogging. Thankfully, I got my life, time, and love back!
I was going to submit an ebook/essay that I wrote a few years back for a class called Beyond Borders. It was about how fandom had changed, how all of us (you, ilke, soft, etc...) had changed over the time I'd been on here. It explored the "borders" in fandom, writing, HPverse and Livejournal, and how we all started off with generic, Harry Potter or fanfiction only posts. Then eventually, that all changed. We learned more about Soft's personal life, about slashpervert's home life, and ilke's baby. People were meeting for the HPCon (and when Soft and Tarnished met in CANADA to see HBP!)... It was a big deal for me, and when I presented it, it was the greatest 50 minute presentation I've ever given! I was wondering if it would still be relevant, but I guess it is!
Of course, I'd change/edit all names and references to real people and accounts :).
Aren't they? On one hand, I'm sad to be moving so far away from Seth's family. On the other hand, Michigan is the greyest, coldest, ugliest place ever with nowhere to go but DEAD. I totally just said that.

I knew I had to be a part of it all... And I went from writing about my Harry Potter reads and reviews, to telling my story, and my goings-on. When Mama first got visibly sick, I posted here and got hope. When she got worse and I was dealing with terrible nurses and staff, I posted here and got support. When she died, I posted here and got so much love. I wish I could've met everyone at the HPCon's, but I'm seriously going to get myself to one of those soon!
You're just in Indiana? Though that's a long ways from me, it's cool that you're in the Midwest! Woot!
I could definitely share the essay with you, just let me know where to send it! ~Brenda
