He had no idea how much time passed from his last conscious moment in that city of light that he could never forget - why would he? After all, he did have a few moments of fun, destroying some of those dreams and hopes along with shattering the peace for a time. If only it could have been drawn out longer... Then it would have been perfect.
But the image of that brat - of Sora - came to mind, followed by the idiot of a protector that, in the end, barely managed to stop him alongside the others. He hoped they enjoyed playing with his bitterness in humanoid form after his powers were sealed. That was what they deserved for not learning all that they should have from that lesson. The strong would be brought down, the fools devastated... He intended it to be his last little 'gift' for them before he vanished from existence entirely, but apparently that wasn't going to happen.
Because here he was: still existing, still able to cause discord and ruin.
Vanitas' eyes narrowed in disgust behind the mask, sitting up and taking in his surroundings. Everything still seemed intact, minus the obvious soreness from getting beaten to a pulp even with the 'locals' interfering halfway through the fight... Well, might as well see where who knows what brought him this time.
