My birthday came and went. And I can honestly that I truly enjoyed my birthday this year. Given all the things going on I was worried I might not.
My actual birthday I didn't really do anything during the day. I went over to Nate and Jess's that night to get some stuff going for my party they were hosting the next day. Me and nate hung out. Drank some beers and helped jess with her company barbecue she was planning the next day.
Saturday I hung out again at Nate and Jess's and prepared some stuff for the night to come. Tended to a crock pot and did some tidying. Nate and Jess did the lions share of it. But I pitched in a little bit.
The party was great. A lot of people showed up and we had a great time. I was happy happy that David and Q were able to make it. Even though I'm sure they were both running on empty. Got to see Forest who's been in town for a few weeks but I haven't gotten to talk to. Lots of faces to be seen. Talked and talked and had some drinks and had a grand time. Got some cool art from Mr. Doherty, Some Street Fighter Kidrobot toys, Nate and jess got me an amazon gift card, which they didn't really have to since they do so much for me anyhow, but it was greatly appreciated. Kevin and Lindsay got me a scrabble mug lol.
Wished Lindsay could have made it. But all the people that showed up I was more than happy with. The night wound down and ended up with me and Q talking and listening to Spotify and what not. It was good. Really good.
I wished I hadn't had to get up so fast and make it to a family meeting. I was definitely feeling a little low from the party. But I collected myself up and made it out to my dad's place. I'd been dreading the meeting considering all the shit that happened the week before. We were able to meet though and make some progress. On the upside of things Ray should be coming down again to help with some estate organization. I look forward to seeing him again, wish it didn't have to be for stuff like this though.
