First world problems.
Have I ever ranted about this phrase? I can't remember. Oh well if I have.
I hate people talking about their LOL FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS.
There is an implication when people use it to mock their own mild problems that people in developing nations don't have those problems either. What a bunch of bullshit. People in developing countries have petty issues too. They look in the mirror and go "shit, having a bad hair day" and "where did I put my keys yesterday?" and "my cell phone battery died in the middle of a conversation, damn!".
When I see someone say "I was late to work because the repairman was over fixing the fridge LOL FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS," I want to say "you do realize that poor people have fridges that need fixing, too, right? And they have jobs to go to, too."
I mean, stfu first world people, there's more to the rest of the world than malaria and mud huts. It's not like people in developing countries are all just too busy dying of starvation to be indecisive about what to cook for dinner tonight. People in the developing world often have electricity. and cars. and cell phones. they get stuck in traffic jams and get annoyed when their internet connection dies (which I dare say happens a lot more for them than it does for rich people). They get in fights with their parents about staying out too late and worry about getting good grades in school.
Ughhhh I know people are just downplaying their own issues but it's really bothersome to me.
