My dad just posted a link to this 100 greatest books of the 20th century list from Modern Library (along with a rant about young people these days and how they don't read enough) and wow. That's a hell of a list.
I generally consider myself to be fairly well-read, but I have read only eleven of these books. I suck.
There's also an accompanying non-fiction list, of which I have only read two.
(Both of these lists are accompanied by rather lolarious readers' picks. Looks like the voting site was trolled by both Objectivists and Scientologists.)
