30 day music meme!
Today's memeage is a song I hear often on the radio.
The truth is that I don't listen to the radio very often, even now that I have an iPod with a radio. When I do listen to the radio, it's to NPR. I'm a policy nerd, I have to know what's going on in current events.
In lieu of songs, then, I will link you to my favorite podcasts.
The World. Hour-long daily current events show. One of their correspondents does a weekly podcast on the language in the news, too, which I also enjoy.
Savage Love. Dan Savage's podcast. I don't agree with him 100% of the time, but it's really entertaining and often "wtf?!?!" inducing. A great source of fic ideas, btw.
The History of Rome. I like history. This is an entertaining podcast.
Twelve Byzantine Rulers. The greatest history podcast...of all time. This is a seriously exciting podcast. Ahhh, being a nerd is so fun.
The Bugle. Currently doesn't have a webpage, oops! This is because it's run by the Times (of London) and they're changing some kind of server and their site is down. You can get the podcast at iTunes, though. It's awesome and hilarious. Kind of like an audio version of The Daily Show (and one of the two hosts is John Oliver, aka, the British Guy On The Daily Show, so it's not an accident).
