Kuset - Stargate SG-1
Kuset (Michael Des Barres) is a Goa'uld assassin who is known more for his surprising escapes than his track record of kills. Once loyal to Ra, and Ra alone, Kuset's main duty was to take out lower System Lords who might be looking for the chance to move up in the ranks. Following Ra's demise over Abydos, Kuset disappeared and became the Goa'uld equivalent of the Boogeyman. Rumors of his existence are usually ignored - even scoffed at - by the current System Lords, though all of them can't help but wonder if he might be in the shadows.
Kuset is, in fact, very much alive and has transitioned into working for the highest bidder. While some System Lords think that they can sway him into sparing their own lives, Kuset is really only out to protect himself, and would just as easily work for you one week, then kill you the next.
When SG-1 stumbles across Kuset's next target - and inadvertently saves him - Kuset not only makes his presence known to the rest of the System Lords, but finds that there are quite a few System Lords willing to pay anything to get rid of SG-1.
Patrick Larson - NCIS
Patrick Larson (Kavan Smith) is a Marine sniper who returned from an overseas deployment just in time to learn that his wife, Rebecca, and young son had been killed only a day before. While the NCIS team is focusing on Patrick and his enemies, Gibbs takes notice of the similarities to his own past and knows the signs of a man looking for revenge.
As the investigation continues, the NCIS team learns that Rebecca was not the intended target, but the friend she was having lunch with that afternoon. As they shift gears to find and protect the actual target of the shooting, Patrick manages to be one step ahead of them and finds the woman's husband first.
Gibbs manages to talk Patrick down in a very tense showdown, by admitting his own need for revenge and pointing out that exacting his didn't bring Shannon and Kelly back. With the shooter in custody and the wife in protective custody, Gibbs keeps his word to Patrick and accompanies the man to a support group meeting for people who have lost family in sudden and tragic incidents.
