Matt watched from the doorway of his office as the line inched alone the main street of Dodge City. A professional photographer had come in on the stage, the night before, and he'd managed to make quite the sales pitch to the ladies in the general store.
Everyone in Dodge seemed to have taken their baths and pulled out the finest Sunday clothes, and were now suffering the heat of the Kansas sun, ready for their turn at immortality. But, it was the sight of Festus coming from the hotel, with slicked hair and new suit, that caught Matt's attention.
