Wyatt stepped up next to Adora and slipped an arm around her. "Hey, I lost my new wife. Have you seen her?" He gave a smile to the two ladies Adora was standing with and pulled her just a little closer as the ladies moved away.
"You've been married for a whole two hours and you've already lost her?" Adora asked, shaking her head.
"Well, if it's the only thing that goes wrong today," Wyatt shrugged, already pulling her away from the group. A few feet away, Wyatt turned Adora in his arms and started dancing with her to music that wasn't playing.
"What could possibly go wrong?" Adora asked, giving him a smile. "The sun is shining. You made it, I made it," she teased. "You said 'Yes', I said 'Yes'." Wyatt grumbled and turned her again.
"Something will go wrong," he stated matter-of-factly. "Just you wait."
"Mmmhmm," Adora nodded, glancing over Wyatt's shoulder at their friends. "Looks like the only thing that might go wrong is a couple of Tin Men running out of dance partners."
"Or food," Wyatt added.
Adora laughed, but the sound was quickly drowned out by a loud rumble. Both of them glanced up and winced a second later, as the heavens opened. Adora leaned into Wyatt, laughing, as their friends and family started scrambling for cover.
The rain was freezing, but neither of them moved. Wyatt blinked through the drops and looked at Adora. "Told you so," he called to her over the noise of the rain and then huffed dramatically.
"Well," she called back, "if it's the only thing that goes wrong." She wasn't worried; Munchkins believed rain brought good luck. Adora smiled and pressed up on her toes to kiss Wyatt.
This much rain...they were clearly in for a good life.
