"-and that's me," Tom finished as he stood up and reached for a screwdriver. On the other side of the desk, Eva Rossi was watching the NIH computer tech as he started putting her laptop back together, while she was prepping a candy dish for the office party in a few hours.
"Any of it true?" she asked, holding up the plate of treats when he finished.
Tom smiled and reached for a red-wrapped Hershey's Kiss. "Everything but the volunteering part," he admitted. "Haven't volunteered for anything but overtime, since high school."
Eva smirked and rolled her eyes. "Shoulda known."
