As they walked down the Brick Route, Cain tried not to think about the number of times he'd made this trip over the annuals. He was never really a fan of nature, but she was. She thought the Guild was much more peaceful, and if that's where she wanted to be, he'd deal with the hassle of having to travel on foot.
The trees were so dense along the Brick Route that trucks couldn't easily pass, and it was an uncomfortable trip in the fancy cars of Central City.
His knees were once used to the trip, but not now.
