Summary: DG thought that someone might notice they were gone.

After the dust had settled, DG'd begged and pleaded and begged to be allowed to go back to the Other Side, even if it was just for a few days. She'd gone with the Nurture Units, as they needed to front questions about where they'd been for a whole week following the twister, and they found the house had been destroyed. Much to DG's dismay, however, it turned out that they hadn't been missed, as the time change between the Zone and Kansas was only about three hours.
She had been trying to come up with a grand tale, explaining where they'd been for the better part of a week, but Hank simply ended up just telling Gulch that they'd been over in Coldwater, seeing a man about a new horse, and had stopped for dinner, which is why they hadn't been at the house when the tornado touched down.
