Fic: Stormy Weather
Title: Stormy Weather

Thunder
Natalie was examining cultures in the lab, while Eva was off doing damage control with the local PTA. Miles and Stephen were in Intensive Care, checking the vitals of the third graders and Frank was checking a theory at the playground when the storm rolled in.
As there were no windows in the lab, Natalie didn't see the flash. The thunder cracked, echoing off the steel surfaces and Natalie leaned forward as her heart raced. She really hated being alone during thunderstorms.
'At least the power is-' she thought as the room went dark. Her head dropped to the desk.
Sky
Stephen watched as Miles explained to two of the boys how the germs in their bodies were making the boys and their friends sick and he smiled. It wasn't that Miles was telling the boys that the germs were having a party in their stomachs, but that Stephen had seen that episode of The Cosby Show.
And Miles wasn't getting the story right. At all.
The sound of rain on the window drew his attention and he noticed how dark it had become. Hoping Frank wasn't still at the park, Stephen flinched as the lightning flash lit up the room.
