Summary: Adora tries to fill in for Wyatt.

Jeb Cain loved his parents, and knew his parents loved him. Jeb also knew that, while he'd rather be home, his father was doing important things. While his father was gone, Jeb was under orders to look after his mother and try to stay out of trouble.
Jeb was in town with his mother one day, when he saw a few boys who lived nearby. She told him to go visit while she bought supplies. The boys told Jeb they were going fishing the next day and asked him to come along. Jeb declined with a frown, citing chores.
They hadn't gotten around to fishing yet. It was another one of those things on the list of "soon as they give me some time." Even at his age, Jeb knew the list was only getting longer, but it was something to look forward to.
For both of them.
Jeb didn't know that his mother overheard the conversation. On the way home, she offered to teach him. "Now, it won't be as proper a lesson as your father would give, but it'll get you by."
Annuals later, it was one of the memories he held on to while in the suit.
