"Dad, Brian's birthday isn't for five cycles."
"Things happen," Cain shrugged, "just trying to plan ahead." Leigh turned to her father and sighed.
"Just... take him to Jeb's. The three of you can take over some cabin and go fishing." Leigh shrugged and went back to stacking folders. "Be men," she added with a smile.
"That's not a birthday gift, Kiddo," Cain said, giving her a look. Shaking his head, Cain pulled her into a hug. "I don't want to chance getting him the same thing as you." Leigh caught his elbows and smiled.
"It's physically impossible for you to give him the same thing, Dad." She forced a grin and added: "I guarantee it."
Cain frowned. "What are you giving him?" Leigh tried to fight the smile and pulled him into a hug. She might as well tell him, as it wouldn't be a secret much longer.
"A boy."
