Simone stood outside the loft, staring at the door in front of her, arms wrapped around her chest, teeth chattering from the cold.
She could see her reflection in the glass. She hardly looked any different, except a little wider, and she wondered how quickly Isaac would notice.
Or if he'd even notice at all.
How she wished she could slip into a little bit of denial with him and pretend nothing was happening. But she couldn't.
And their weeks of not seeing each other was going to stop now.
Sure, they talked (occasionally) on the phone, but... It wasn't the same.
She rapped gently on the door, hoping to gain his attention. Nerves wracked her as she waited for a response. So silly to feel like this when it was just Isaac.
