Glancing down at his watch, now running smoothly and perfectly on time thanks to his first encounter, Mohinder bit back an annoyed sigh. He been sitting in the posh reception area for the better part of an hour, waiting on the next name on the list. Alexander Vorena. High-powered attorney and made all the more discourteous for it.
Schooling his features into a pleasant, if rather impatient, mask, he approached the blonde-haired woman at the desk once again.
"Miss? I'm sorry, I've been waiting for nearly forty-five minutes, is Mr. Vorena still--" on the phone? in a meeting? refusing to see me entirely? "--busy?"
She glanced up at him, tapping her pen on the desk. "I"m sorry? And you are?"
Mohinder stared at her incredulously. "Dr. Suresh? The geneticist?" Who spoke with you not ten minutes ago?
"Oh right. Well, let me see." Rising from her desk, she flounced off down the corridor, leaving Mohinder with no choice but to once again take a seat.
