She was flying over to New York tonight. Jimmy already knew and as far as she was concerned, staying there until the end of the week, like she was supposed to, was about as likely to happen as the sky falling. Thompson had been surprisingly understanding, but she had no high hopes of that attitude lasting.
But while she was still around for a few hours and while she didn't have anything in particular to do, she'd offered to be helpful. Jimmy would be moving out, eventually. And while he was still tied up at his dad's house for now, there were too many boxes lying around in his room. Boxes she was now driving over to his new apartment.
