Charlie slowly typed in the address to the website of the comic book. She hid a smile as her cousin spelled out the words for her. She didn't have the heart to tell her that she really did know how to spell the words already. Her cousin had just turned 10 and for her birthday, she'd received an autographed copy of the first issue of 9th Wonders!, a time travelling hero comic book. It was a cute series, Charlie had to admit, from what she'd read. And it was kid friendly. Not many comics were like that, and that was something she appreciated, with her cousin being so young.

"What am I going to do? Now that I'm on the website." Charlie asked.

Bethy, her cousin, shrugged. "I really just wanted to see it," she admitted. "And I want to send Isaac an e-mail to say thank you for sending back a response."

Bethy had sent a fan mail three months previous to the comic book writer slash artist. Charlie had been just as amazed as her cousin that she'd gotten a hand written response plus an autographed first copy back. The artist had wished her a happy birthday and Bethy said it was the best gift she'd recieved, ever.

"Do you want me to send it for you?" Charlie asked. Bethy nodded. Charlie glanced at the screen and began to search for a contact page. She found an e-mail address and clicked it.

"Write this," Bethy said. Her face scrunched up in concentration and then she began to talk, "Dear Isaac Mendez. My name is Bethy Andrews and I wanted to thank you for sending me back a response to my letter. The comic is really cool and I appreciate it lots. You are really cool and someday I want to draw just like you. I even got a drawing book for my birthday so I can practice now. Thank you!" Bethy looked at Charlie, "How's that?"

Charlie hid a smile, and nodded, "Very professional," she said. Bethy shot her a smile. "He'll love it."

"Good," she said happily. "I'm gonna go now, 'kay?" Charlie nodded. "I'm gonna go brag to my friends." All of Bethy's friends were 9th Wonders! fans, but she was the first to get an autographed copy, let alone with a special bonus message in it.

"Have fun." Charlie turned back to the e-mail and reread it. She added in some additional grammar, her mouse hovering over 'send' before she paused again.

"P.S.," she spoke out loud. "My name is Charlie and I'm Bethy's cousin. I just wanted to say thank you for your letter response. You must get a million a week, yet you responded to hers with a personal hand written note and a comic. I just wanted to say how amazing I think you are for that. You made my cousin's day."

Satsified with the short message she hit send and sat back in her desk chair, stretching her legs out in front of her.

She knew they wouldn't get a response, but she did wonder what the automated e-mail would say, and hoped it would be generic enough that Bethy would be happy.
