This was probably the first time in the twenty five years that he'd been alive that he actually didn't want to be with Nathan on Christmas. Really, really didn't want to be anywhere near Nathan right now. Because he was convinced that Nathan was mad at him and this was an anger to top all previous angers because it'd been over a month now. Their father had died and still, they hadn't talked.

Peter was pretty sure that running to Canada with Claire would've been a better idea then going to Nathan's but there he was, standing in front of his brother's house in the snow and cold and becoming good friends with the front door. Like really good friends. He'd have a better conversation with that door then his brother.

He exhaled slowly, running his hand along his forearm idly. Oh just ring the doorbell already. He won't actually kill you while the boys are awake, so just leave before it's their bedtime. Wouldn't be that hard. He'd promised Claire he'd be back early. Would've brought her along but he was pretty sure that Nathan would've had a stroke if that'd happened.

So he left Claire in his apartment, which had seven kinds of stupid written all over it and took a cab to Nathan's and he'd been standing outside of the house for going on eight minutes now.

It was a full nine minutes before he finally reached out and rung the doorbell.
