Tired, just got home from work past 10pm
Worked at the annual Youth & Government dinner to honor them
The kids were so inspiring; so confident; so hopeful. I like that I'm helping build them up to "be the change." They're already writing legislative bills! Lobbying! Advising!
And not just the more affluent areas. Crenshaw, Watts, Southeast, Boyle Heights.
I feel like they were speaking to me, and I'm way older. I can be the change, too?
So.. I'm tiree but it was worth it. I wish i worked more on the frontiers instead of behind the scenes. Maybe i can!
