Mohamed asked me, "do you feel more adult?"
Honestly, i feel more like a kid.
Saturday after we had kbbq, her dinner of choice, we walked around The Grove to walk off our food. We stopped by the fountain and she said "being a water drop would be cool." Who of our "adult" friends would ever say that? I explained to her a bit about the hydrologic cycle and yeah being a a part of a water droplet WOULD actually be cool!
It's nice to step back into a a kid's mind because i feel like 12-21 was a blur for me and I'm just stepping right back in.
On the radio on the drive back, KOST dedicated a song to a Kathy (from a Henry lol), and said "always remember what it was like the first time." Little reminders.
When we were at Magic Mountain, i forgot the conversation topic but i I said, as i always do, "if we know each other in the future." Jolly asked, "why wouldn't you? Because you're dead?" She's a a good winger cuz that response was perfect.
Friday night we all painted, and drank champagne (or cider) and told childhood stories. That was fun. And creative!! I made 4 tiny oil canvases of smeared nothings but i I still like them. I don't remember what else but she was all up on me laughing at videos of the best/worst soccer player of all time. It was like a pet was on mee!
I also remember his story of when he was little and ate too much so he cried cuz his stomach hurt and it made her laugh until she cried and made me laugh a lot too. That... And the "2 eggs 2 hams 2 bacons" song.
Lots of laughter and activities this weekend! Next time *gasp* i got him to agree to inviting her mom and boyfriend to wine + games with us. Year of no hating! And no more shady child trades in an in n out parking lot.
Be free like a water droplet.
