Viendi's Christmas present to me is to build my dresser for me so i I was cleaning out my old one when i found this notebook people signed for my birthday one year during high school. It's so weird seeing old notes!! Joe said he didn't know me at all and i ended up at his wedding! I watched Sunil as a bystander to talking him through his problems in college to going to his wedding too! I still talk to Alex like i I can comfortably from barely knowing her in the beginning too. Mohamed signed his "always." Sweet.
Every year is so different!!!! I love it.

I've really enjoyed hanging out with family this week. Viendi and i really get along or mesh well. We talked about how other siblings don't know anything, or as much, about each other. I guess it's just different but i I like our way. I think it's also because we are so close in age it's almost twin like, but not. I won't even want to ride in different cars than her. I couldn't imagine her visiting and me not spending every day with her. Even when the SJ fam came, i resigned myself to be the on-call chauffeur. I wonder if the other side would ever even want to hang out for 72+ hours. I always think of Albert as my brother too. I think it's because when he was about 4 he asked if we were his sisters and it was hard to tell him no, esp as an only child. I actually didn't stay with Viendi one night to stay at his hotel with him, and forced myself to stay up late to talk to him one night because i know he gets sad leaving. I think us 3 are siblings. I had a lot of fun with us, when i'd drop off the parents and we'd do our own thing for a few hours. Jan made fun of me one night because he said I'm so open to everything and dunno what word he used but then he said "but u a traditional girl." Yap. I will put family first. I will still bow to exiting Viet elders. I will drive back and forth to the south bay 5x 5x multiple times in a a row because I'm the eldest. If my friends end up coming out that's great but it's second. There are family that i put in the friends category. I'm the family liason too. I'm glad that Albert and Viendi are like this too. Viendi and i went to Temple for Ong Thanh's anniversary, and talked to all the extended family. We could have stayed home but we woke up early to go to Pomona. We didn't even mind it. I literally drove home and drove back to that area. We actually had a a lot of fun talking to my mom's cousins. I hope we'll all keep in touch in the future. It's great to see my mom spending all holidays with her family, even if it takes 6+ hours of driving on someone's end. 4 of them even conference called last week (cool that they know how to do that)! My mom even hangs out with in laws even when she's not 'obligated' to anymore! She's been a great example for us.
