Today I woke up really early to be to work by 8. (On the bright side, my car only stalled once on my way there! Four times total today, though.)
Work was so-so. I worked a full 8 hours, which was a nice change. I just wish they would give me more productive things to do than re-shops.
After work I drove home and drank myself a protein shake before hitting the gym.
It was my first day at the Gold's Gym across the street, and so far I'm not disappointed.
I've been running 1 mile of cardio lately (i guess in an effort to prove I have lung capacity left), but being on my feet all day simply wouldn't allow it today, so I made do with half a mile.
After the gym I came home for dinner before putting on my street clothes and heading out to the Beta Bar (small indi-ish club up here) for a concert sponsored by Pride.
The band was Steph Taylor and the State Of and they were definitely original. Just two girls, one playing the drums (and other various little instruments) and one playing the keyboard.
Their original stuff was definitely likable and they covered some cool songs (Like A Prayer by Madonna!).
I parked in some distant field for the show and walking back to my car, I was so certain it had been towed or stolen, but I found it eventually.
Now I'm home and I can finally put my feet up. This was definitely one of my more active days, and that's definitely not a complaint.
I remember the days that I would only be home to sleep, now I feel like an old man.
